Tunnel Rat
|Posted .Fun Shooter RPG. Both Games are a bit manipulative, and sometimes you cant figure out what is needed to proceed in game. Went on line a couple of times to find out how to proceed. Died a lot because of not really knowing what I was doing. I was Playing in SURVUVAL MODE....Less Ammo. BUT ....Cant wait to play through again now that I know what I know. It will be less frustrating, and I will have more time to look around, and absorb the game better. The New And Improved Graphics Were Great, story was good. It was fun. Also had trouble switching from Metro 2033 to Metro Last Light on my Xbox One. It would only go to the first game screen. I finally had to erase the first game in order to get onto the cover screen where it gave you a choice on which game to play. Probably my ignorance on using my XBOX ONE. I didn't run into any glitch's, but one needs to watch the save points because if you are not close to one and then quit the game, when you go back on it could throw you back farther than you want to go. I will be playing both games again. METRO REDUX is a Classic.

Very engaging, fun to play. Great value
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMetro has been a surprising blast for me to play. The story and nature of the game had me immediately glued to the game - I played for 4 hours straight on my first try. The pacing, dialogue, and setting are that good. It also has a bit of a horror element to it, but not an uncomfortable amount - I was sweating from the tension and eerie moments, but was never truly scared (I bought this game for the story and shooter gameplay). Ultimately, I was expecting the game to be good, but it exceeded these expectations. With two high-quality games at $50, there is no better value in a shooter game on the next-gen consoles (yet).

Awesome Game; Great Value
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI played Metro 2033 on the Xbox 360 when it came out several years ago. I thought it was fantastic. Creepy atmosphere and engaging storyline. For Metro Redux, the development team completely rebuilt the game (Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light) to include new content, graphics, and other features. I have played the first few levels of Metro 2033 with a friend and we were both amazed at the quality. He went and bought the game the next day. Now I only have one minor gripe at this time, and it's very minor. I do love how you can now play the game in other languages (Russian, French, Spanish, etc) with English subtitles. I decided to play with Russian language and English subtitles. The main storyline and interaction captures the Russian language with appropriate subtitles, but any background discussions as you walk around your base camp do not show subtitles. So you will walk by people speaking in Russian, and even making remarks to you, but there are no associated subtitles. I might switch back to English (with Russian accents) to get the full effect. Overall, these are two fantastic games and I highly recommend them in the Metro Redux package.

Great story telling and a first person shooter
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBased on Russian novel on fictional characters: set in a post Chernobyl event which much of Russia is devastated by a nuclear fallout. As a result humans can't survived on the radiated atmosphere thus must lived in the metro tunnels. Story telling is rich and well paced to keep the player on their wits against unspeakable horrific creatures which dwelves in the dark metro tunnels and on the surface. A struggle between good vs evil as you play the character Artyom who is struggling to find out about his past and helping his fellow survivors fight to survived each day. Graphics are excellent as well as the voice acting. The developer managed to tie together the events of the first part of the game to the second game called metro last light. A very well made game which was a sleeper hit on the current Xbox 360 and PS3 console. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants something original in story telling, resource management, great graphics and voice acting

Here's one for the little guy
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was elated to hear this game was coming to next gen consoles. I was upset to hear that the original didn't live up to expectation despite the great story. I was happy they went through with the sequel and that the work was put in to making its way to next gen consoles. I think it's important to return to middle market, lesser known titles. Considering we are in a new generation of consoles, I hope this title gets the recognition it deserves. I enjoyed the level design, the weapon customization, creature effects, the fact that bullets can be traded as currency. The attention to detail is impressive. Of the series, I had only played Metro Last Light so it was interesting comparing and contrasting my experience from my 360 to my Xbox One. This release makes me want to read the Russian cult hit it was based upon.

The best definitive versions of the Metro games...
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe Metro series is a great franchise. Both, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, are highly acclaimed games, and while both have appeared on the Xbox 360, only a powerful PC can do them justice. Console gamers, especially PS4 owners, have never played Metro the way the developers intended due to technical limitations. Thankfully, after remastering both games from the ground up. So now you get awesome versions of both Metro games with all the DLC included, running at a locked 60FPS, for only $50. It's one of the couple of remasters that are actually justified.

Amazing story and graphics puts this ahead
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMetro Redux is snazzier version of the last gen versions, what with improved graphics, tweaked gameplay mechanics, and added DLC. This is not just a game, it's a story, 2 of them in fact bundled on 1 disc. The atmosphere is creepy and interesting and the story keeps you going, trying to survive a wasteland filled with monstrous baddies. If you like shooters with a narrative, this is worth picking up. The upgraded graphics of this game from the last gen games made a huge difference on an already solid looking game and the story just hooks you in more. Plus, based of a real book series, it's got reading material that can be used in conjunction with it too. Get it!
