Please read if you're having issues.
||Posted .Its a controller :) that's designed to work with all generations of Xbox one. Meaning Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X as well as PC provided you have the adaptor or Bluetooth support built in. The Bluetooth works on any device that has Bluetooth built in. Laptop, tablet, phone and pc. The D Pad has been redesignedd better for multi directional use (fighting games) instead of traditional up/down/left/right usage. Kinda shaped like a plate with edges. The actual size of the controller is a fraction smaller. Good for kids or if you have small hands. The bumpers/triggers and back of it are textured for a better grip instead of it being smooth. Bumpers are a matte black instead of glossy. Helps with long play sessions and sweaty hands. Has a built in 3.5mm headphone jack so you can plug in any headset and use them for game audio and chat, provided your headset has a mic. Also has a updated type C connector for charging and syncing instead of the outdated Micro USB so you can use more modern chargers. The battery pack is replaceable so you can buy a rechargeable battery pack or use rechargable AA batteries to save money and help the environment. Now the reason for the title of my review. There is a known issue as of writing this review. The issue is that the newer models of the controller have issues with random disconnects, buttons registering being pressed and so on. Microsoft knows about this and is working on a software fix for this. No known ETA as to when this will be fixed. My unit has no issues except for the A button not registering if I push it to fast. I'm sure this will be fixed in a near future software update. You can test button functions within the Xbox accessories app on the system to see if any buttons are having issues registering. This issue is worse in another unit that I purchased back in November. That unit has random disconnects with the system but says it's connected still. If your controller doesn't work right either take it back for a exchange WITHIN the standard 15 day policy or within the 2 year extended warranty (sold separately). If you're going to buy the newer models just use caution and be prepared for possible issues. Otherwise the controllers are great in design, they work as intended and build quality is always solid with Microsofts 1st party products. I'd recommend buying the GSP (warranty). It covers you for 2 years, covers normal wear and tear and accidentally breaking it. So instead of paying another $60+ on a new controller, just take it to a local best buy and they'll swap it out for another one of the same unit or comparable or worst case scenario store credit. I've had all my controllers through best buy because of this warranty. Works great for hardcore gamers who go through 1 controller a year. I highly recommend it.

Improved Xbox One controller
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Overall, this is basically just an XBOX One controller, but with some improvements. The sticks don't clack as loud as an original xbox one controller. The share button helps without having to press home + x/y every time you want to take a capture. The sticks are a bit stiff but just feel like they need to be broken in. The D-Pad is a lot more comfortable to use than the One's D-Pad. The only real issues I have is a lack of motion controls for potential improvements in aiming, like a switch pro controller or a PS4 controller. And there is still no included recharging battery or cable, so you still have to either buy a rechargeable battery or buy AA batteries. If you like the Xbox One controller, this is an objective improvement.

If You Love Blue
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. The aqua shift works just like any Xbox series X controller. There's nothing new or different in that department. But here it does set itself apart is of course the shifting blue color and the the back rubber grips. In the light the controller does look like it shifts between light blue to a little darker blue. On the edges sometimes you can see it shift to almost going to a purple blue color but not all the way. It all depends on the light and the way it hits the surface of the controller. Also has a sparkly look to it. Kinda like Vegeta's blue evolution transformation in dbs. The grips are also nice. They don't extend all the way to the back of the controller but to me that's fine. I read that the design on the grip is also unique to each aqua shift controller so no two will be exactly alike. So if you love blue and you like collecting controllers then this is a no brainer.

Good update to an already amazing PC controller.
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Good update to an already amazing controller. This is very similar to the xbox one s controller but the D-Pad is much more responsive. There is also a nice texture on the back of the controller that gives it a great grip. This is in my opinion the best 3D controller for PC Gaming. If you play a lot of 2D games maybe you want to get an 8BITDo as well but for shooters, 3D platformers, racing etc this is the way to go NOTE: make sure you download the XBOX Accessories app on your PC and update the controller firmware, otherwise it won't work with your Windows PC

Xbox makes the best controllers!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This a great controller. Well worth the money, yea Microsoft didn't change much, but they didn't have to. If it ain't broke dont fix it. They added textured grips, a share button and an enhanced D-pad. Other than that, its the same controller. Idk if its just me or what, but this controller feels more durable than previous models also. I guess just because its new, but whatever. Well worth $60 and its a steal at $40 for black Friday. Which i would have waited a couple more days. Could have saved $20 but im not too mad about it. Get one now !!!

Microsoft controllers are quality
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Weight feels good, good quality materials. They have started giving "texture" to different areas and buttons of these controllers, here's what is different from other (red) controllers: on Daystrike Camo (Fat right), there is a rough grip texture on the triggers, the L/R buttons, and underneat both grips but not on the outer side of grips (smooth). The Pulse Red (middle) has grip texture on the entire grip except topside, and on triggers, but not L/R buttons. The original Xbox One red ( far left) has grip texture on both grips (excluding tops), but smooth triggers and L/R buttons. Of course the d-pad and share buttons are new on the Series X designs. Hope this helps.

Best Console Controller
||Posted .I purchased the Microsoft Xbox Series Wireless Controller (Shock Blue) for my nephew for Christmas so he can have an additional controller for his Xbox One S. The main thing that I he likes about it is the stippled texturing on the triggers and the back of the controller. The bumpers and triggers have a matte finish, which he says more nicer to him. There's a new share button on the center of the controller, which from what he said makes it easier to save screenshots and video clips. One press for screenshot or hold for video clip. Also, to view recent clips you can fouble press the share button to see them. My nephew is an avid gamer and has been since birth and loves playing Fortnite. He gets sweaty hands after long sessions of gaming and the grip on the controller helps. He can experience incredible intensity, precision and comfort of the Xbox Wireless Controller and also feel vibration feedback and jolts in high definition which he loves! The controller is wireless and fits perfectly on a rechargeable battery holder. The controller itself fits comfortably in his mid-sized hands and the triggers are very responsive. The main differences are the feel of the controller itself and the D-pad. It now has a lot more textured feeling, which extends to the bumpers and triggers. The bumpers used to be glossy and slippery and now they're more of a matte finish. The D-pad returns to the more "paddle" like one from the Xbox 360 but is much improved from that version and feels tight and clicky instead of wobbly. It also is very responsive with a satisfying mechanical feel and is faster and more responsive than the XB1 controller This controller has USB-C instead of Micro USB, Better texture on the handles, Grippy triggers, Built in Bluetooth, and a new D-Pad. It includes Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth technology for wireless gaming on supported consoles. Such as, Windows 10 PCs, Android phones, and tablets. Hopefully iOS support coming in the future. There is also a 15 day Xbox Game Pass included. Barring the elite controller, this is hands-down my nephew's favorite controller for any console to date. Well done, Microsoft you out done yourself with this one!

Discolored Sticks
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. Its a gret controller no better or worse than any others as far as function. The only issue is the thumb sticks discoloring, i read a review before purchasing that mentioned this and said I'd just need to wash my hands well before gaming. Well I did that and i was still met with discolored worn looking sticks in 12 days of use. When color is the reason i bought it, this is a deal breaker.
