I do a lot of heavy photo editing, since I am a wedding photographer. I have been waiting years for a computer that allowed me to use a pen on the screen, and that also had high specs for those large raw files. I could never get used to the Wacom tablets because of the disconnect between the pad and the screen, and the Surface was the perfect solution. I spent a lot of time going back and forth on if I wanted to spend the money on this product, and I have to say I wish I did it sooner. No regrets at all. While the internal hard drive is a little slow for this machine, I don't notice any lags when editing. The pen is also very accurate. Most of my editing is done in Lightroom, with the screen in draft mode using the pen and wheel for a very fast workflow. To combat the slower hard drive, I have been using a portable, external SSD most of the time for the Lightroom catalogs. The screen colors are pretty accurate and everything looks very sharp and clear. It can be calibrated very easily, and find that I can get much better skin tones on here vs. my other computers. Compared to my Mac laptop (similar specs), this by far beats it with the screen and performance. Don't let Windows scare you off, it has come a long way! Along with Lightroom, I find the computer to work very fast with Photoshop and InDesign. I use quite a few layers in Photoshop at times (I also design websites, and some sites require 100s of layers), and this has not had an issue with performance. Lastly, the computer also works very well as a gaming PC. While I don't do a lot of heavy gaming, I do play a few that require high performing computers and they worked just fine on the Studio with maxed out in-game specs.

The screen is phenomenal and the system is fast enough for normal day to day computing.

I was cautious at first when I questioned the price... would it be worth it or could I process my images on something cheaper. I decided to pull the trigger and get the Studio. First impressions... it's BIG. It's also very quick. The resolution is fantastic and the colors are startling. It also has a small footprint on a desk. Very easy to turn into a drawing table with the zero-gravity hinges... I'm pleased with this computer.
