The X-Box One surpassed my expectations
||Posted .Up to this point, I had only owned the Sony gaming rigs (PS3/PS4). I was surprised by the X-Box as I wasn't expecting much. The HDMI input alone was worth the "price of admission". By running your cable signal through the gaming console, you don't have to switch inputs on your television when exiting the game your playing. Superb!!

Great game system
||Posted .An upgraded Christmas gift from the Xbox 360(huge improvement) for one of my kids. However, the entire family now uses it. We have weekly game night competitions with it. Its given us quality time together and happy memories.

Great deal!
Posted .Finally I got my xbox one 1Tb tomb raider bundle, plus an extra wireless controller, all for $349.99 a great deal! I bought it from the store, they didn't have the controller extra available but 2 guys and a nice girl ordered it online and I picked it up just 3 days later in store.

Bundle too good to pass up
||Posted .I've had this new console for about a week. Just got the chance to play the new Tomb Raider two days. I'll tell you this is a bundle not to pass up! 1TB hard drive including: Rise of the Tomb Raider (digital download), Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (2014 game, also digital download), DLC for some sort of winter outfit for Laura Croft (looks like a heavy duty coat and such from LL Bean not some cheap Wal-Mart knock off), $50 Best Buy gift card, and finally a free game up to $59.99. All for $399.99. I used some of my Best Buy reward zone certificates so my finial price including tax was too dang good to pass up. With backwards compatibility playing select Xbox 360 games arriving shortly - pick up this bundle ASAP. All you Xbox 360 owners holding off - hold of no longer. You won't regret it.

Great edition of the console to buy!
||Posted .We'd been cautious about entering the current console generation, mostly because of the trend we were seeing of games coming out either incomplete, broken, or requiring the purchase of a season pass in order to have the full experience. However, when Best Buy offered this Tomb Raider edition of the XBOX One, with a 1TB hard drive, both of the modern Tomb Raider games, and an extra controller on Black Friday 2015 for $349, we knew it was the right time to jump in (or "jump ahead", as the Microsoft marketing folks want us to associate with the XB1...). After finally using the console since Christmas, I'm happy to say that it's been worth the investment so far. The system works well, the games we've played on it look and sound great (granted, that's only been LEGO Dimensions and Rock Band 4, so we haven't really pushed the limits of the hardware yet...), and the dashboard, while not as intuitive-seeming as its 360 counterpart, is fairly easy to get used to navigating. Importing our old XBOX Live profiles was really easy, and once we did, the XBOX One "recognized" which 360 games we had previously downloaded that would work with the One's backward compatibility, which I think is pretty cool. The big plus for me with this console is its 1TB hard drive. Since the current-gen consoles require you to install your games (even those that you play via disc media, which wasn't necessary in the 360 era), I knew that it'd be pretty easy to run out of space, especially with some of the more prominent titles requiring as much as 40-50GB of hard drive space to install. Thankfully, this edition of the XBOX One's big hard drive will last us awhile before we'll need to deal with buying an external drive to increase our space. Granted, my experience really hinged upon getting such a great Black Friday deal on the system, but even so, if you're looking to upgrade to the current generation, give this edition of the XBOX One a serious look.

Full Featured
||Posted .Microsoft has a hit with the Xbox One. It is a full featured next gen console that can serve as your home's main entertainment hub for not only games, but streaming video and music content as well as integration to your cable or satellite provider, It can also play DVD or BluRay movies as well. The one feature that I really like is the ability to stream the console over my home network to any Windows 10 PC in the house. I have the console placed in my living room hooked directly to my living room television, but I if my family is watching television in the living room, I can go to my office PC where I can remotely power up the console and with auto-login set, I can start streaming the console user interface to my PC. A simple USB to Micro USB cord and I can connect a controller to the PC and I am good to go to play games, stream content or take advantage of any other features of the console same as if I were sitting in my living room on the console directly. There is no graphics or response degradation over my network probably because I have both the console and my PC hard wired in my home network. I have not tested the console streaming capability over my wireless network. Another feature I like that Microsoft has been implementing is backward compatibility for Xbox 360 games. Not all Xbox 360 games are playable on Xbox One yet, but Microsoft is adding more every month. I have yet to explore the cable/satellite integration so not sure about all of the features around that. As far as comparisons to PS4, I don't own a PS4, but I don't believe PS4 has any PS3 backward compatibility nor does it have streaming to PC gameplay capability, although I think with a PS Vita you can play games off your console with that device but it is a handheld device from what I gather. For me, those were the main reasons I chose Xbox One.

Well packed bundle
||Posted .I took advantage of this bundle for a number of reasons. The Rise of the Tomb Raider, content pack and the Definitive Edition were big reasons. The larger 1TB drive is very welcomed (you'll need it for the pack in games, they're digital downloads). I like downloaded games because it's easy and convenient to switch between games anyway. The shiny black finish of the original Xbone is replaced with a textured matte finish now, which I think is better looking. The New Experience was launched a week after purchase with XBox 360 backwards compatibility and new UI (User Interface), which influenced my purchase. There's more but, bottom line, the exclusives, snappy UI, larger hard disk and Cable TV integration (and TV DVR coming in 2016) are all great incentives for this or any XBox One bundle.
