I wanted an Xbox to put in my bedroom for the times when I prefer to game by myself, or if my roommate has people over. I have a One S downstairs that has been great, and once I saw this one on sale it was a no brainer since I had been interested in playing Anthem anyway, and since I already wanted the console the purchase price basically made the game free. Your enjoyment of Anthem is likely to depend how you feel about hub-based adventure like Destiny or Monster Hunter World. The playing aspect, as far as controls and combat etc are very good, if fairly standard, though I haven't gotten too far into the game, and the flight mechanic adds a fun twist. I'm not a huge fan myself of playing with random people, so I'm still figuring out all the options for being able to take missions by myself instead of as a group, but it's still fun provided the people you are with are playing seriously. The different character classes add a little replay value if you want to choose a different one to start out with, but time will tell if the gameplay is engaging and varied enough to be worth replaying. Rated separately the Xbox would be a 5 and Anthem would be a 3-4 at this point, and since the console is excellent and the game is basically included free my final rating is 5.

I got this machine as a upgrade from my XBox one so I could play Farcry 5 in 4K because it looks so good on YouTube..for less than 300.00. I thought why not go for it. The Graphics do look a little better but not that much more that the Xbox one. The Xbox one S seems to run faster, quieter and smoother and looks good in the front living room entertainment center. This Machine is just a little better than the Xbox one. It is a good Machine for a first time Xbox buyer, It replaces the Xbox one, brings xbox gaming up to date. I should have got the Xbox one X that would have been a real upgrade but that Machine is still over 400 plus. I justed wanted to be able to play 4K games on my 4k TV so I upgraded to the Xbox one S.
