Great System, Poor Controller..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So happy with my purchase of the Xbox One. Traditionally I am a PlayStation guy, but my fiancé has really converted met to a full-fledged Xbox'er. Unfortunately I have to take a star away due to the controller that came in my systems' bundle. It does not turn the system on when the "X" is held down. It does seem to function eventually once the system has been turned on and it syncs up. I have also had troubles with it syncing with the console though as well. As I said in my review of the Xbox Controller..I am glad I purchased the extra controller because I am able to use that secondary controller (which functions as it should). I have contacted Best Buy today though, after much procrastination, and they are having me bring it into the store to more than likely be replaced!

Exactly what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally took the plunge and joined the Xbox One/PS4 generation of consoles. I was kind of a lapsed gamer, only occasionally playing Nintendo games on Wii U/3DS since getting rid of my PS3 and 360. Though I own a Nintendo Switch now, the past couple years I generally wasn't interested in joining this gen of consoles. After Picking up a 4K TV, I started to consider purchasing a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. However, when I came across the One S for $190, I couldn't ignore this deal for the "lesser" version between the S and X consoles. The console itself looks good. I don't care much for white, but it works, and my Nintendo Switch looks good on top of it. The controller feels great. Though, the d-pad feels stiff and slightly awkward in positioning. Setup for this console is as simple as can be if anyone is intimidated by electronics. Not much else to add here, so what about performance... I don't have much to compare this system against, so the S holds up really well on its own merits. The games I have played run well and look good. I really enjoyed playing Cuphead but noticed minor technical issues--not sure if it's the optimization of the game or the hardware itself. The only slight gripe I have is the dashboard. It seems to be a bit more than the S model can handle and is not always the smoothest experience while navigating--I assume the One X handles the dash smoothly but I don't know. Now that I've had a few weeks with the console, I'm really glad I decided to go with the S instead of the $500 X. It's not to say I won't upgrade to the X in the near future, but I think this will tide me over until Xbox releases its next console or the X receives a price drop.

A solid improvement over the original
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, so I had to upgrade when the disc drive on my original Xbox One stopped reading discs. That said, I'm going to get that repaired at least so it'll be in my office. The timing was right though as I got this when it was less than $200. But now on to this puppy... I'm really enjoying the form factor on this one a lot. This thing does run smooth and still runs games like a charm. I have a projector setup, though not at 4K just yet - I'm holding out on that format as 1080 is still sufficient for me - and this is still worthy of an entertainment device for sure. What's also useful is how I had my game installs on an external drive so I could do a seem-less transition over. What stinks is that I'll eventually have to get an adapter if I want to use the Kinect on this, and I actually utilized it a few different times (but I'll be honest, it was for voice commands mostly). What also stinks is that the storage space on board is so limited, though that's a common problem. If you have 4K and want super-high performance, then go ahead and shell out for the X. If you are a bit on the "lower end" then this is best bang for the buck. However, I should once more stress that I got this heavily on sale, so yes I can say it's for sure a bargain. Otherwise, if you get a bundle for around $250-300, then go for that!

- A:Answer I do not believe a flash drive will be much use on this console. However, the Xbox One, S, and X all support external hard drives. I currently have a 5TB drive connected to mine.

- A:Answer Yep. I didn't realize it was coming soon, took a console to the cashier in store and spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why the computer wouldn't let me purchase it. Computer is hard coded to not sell this item before Nov 23.
