Excellent Media Center!
|Posted .I'm a middle aged dad that bought this for my teenagers for Christmas. I've never been a gamer and didn't think I'd use this very much once I set it up. But, you know what, this is hands down the best media device I've ever used! I can't believe how well the Netflix and Amazon apps work on this box. I don't even want to go downstairs to use my DVD player or Apple TV any more! Blu Ray disks never looked so good! Oh, by the way, in the evening, when Netflix can barely get a signal to my house, and my DVD player is choking on the low bit rate, I can go upstairs to the XBOX and watch the same show in 1080P. For this reason alone I might buy a second one for downstairs!

Great prices and support!
|Posted .I went into Best Buy to get a new Xbox One and the bundle I wanted I couldn't find. I had a customer service agent walk up to me and ask if they could help me. They found the bundle I wanted and found the game I wanted that wasn't out on the floor either. They made the process very easy and simple for me. I HIGHLY recommend this company to everyone.

Xbox One Bundle
|Posted .The Xbox One is an awesome system. The graphics are phenomenal. As a game system it's pretty easy to adjust to and the Kinect is fun to use. As a blue ray player the quality of the movies are great. I got a great deal on Cyber Monday.

High quality and feature-rich update over Xbox 360
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPros: * Good quality, 3D capable BluRay drive built-in (requires free download from Live store to play BluRay or DVD discs) * Console looks more professional in home theater environment than the oddly shaped 360. * Instant On for standby power control so console turns on much quicker. * Kinect is much improved over 360 versions, with better visual recognition and voice support. * Slight refinements to controller for better thumb positioning. Much lighter. (And still much more natural than a Playstation controller.) * TV input via HDMI to allow game and TV viewing at same time. Also support games and browser viewing simultaneously. Cons: * Not backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games * 720p resolution for most games as opposed to full HD 1080p * Required update upon initial setup is very large (almost 900 MB) * Console should not be stood on end like 360. It physically can, but doing so blocks a fan and the unit will overheat. If Microsoft didn't want it stood on end they should have designed it so it couldn't with a different bezel, or a curved or slanted shape on ends. * Assassin's Creed Unity is very slow starting compared to Black Flag. A couple of hours in now and it hasn't captured my excitement in the same way yet. * Unity is also rather buggy. Facial graphics flicker too often; hand placement during climbs sometimes appear to grab thin air; too many times your climbing gets stuck where you can't move up, down, left, or right without changing camera angle. Note that the included games, Unity, Black Flag, and Dance Central Spotlight are not physical discs but download codes. You'll need a Live account to download. (Comes with two 14 day subscription cards if needed.) Black Flag is 1.5 GB and Unity is nearly 5 GB so it takes some time to download and install these games.

Traded PS3 for Xbox One
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI traded in my PS3 toward the Xbox one and my wife and I have been very pleased with the decision. It performs great running Destiny, Lego Marvel, and MCC. I've only fired up Assassin's Creed once but it looked and felt good too. We lose remotes like small children lose teeth, so I love that the Xbox can turn on and off our.TV and AVR as well as adjust the volume on the AVR. The Kinect voice controls are probably 85% accurate, but the scope of controls is fantastic. I figured it would only be able to do very basic things, but you can navigate almost any menu by voice. Set up is pretty easy. The camera works okay. For some reason the gestures don't work very well, but the voice controls are soo much easier that we don't even bother using anything else. When the camera sees you it will go ahead and sign you in. It makes you think that it can only identify you by your face, but I've bent over in front of the camera to pick up something (probably a remote) and it went ahead and logged me in by my rear end. Not sure if that is a good thing.. All in all they have done a great job with the Xbox. We went with the Xbox over the PS4 because they both play games fine, but the Xbox is better at everything else.
