The preceding reviewer makes valid points: Gov't Mule is not typically synonymous with remixing. However, Haynes goes out on a reggae limb on this one and in my opinion, the results are fantastic. I admit I that I could do without the multiple "Ram" takes tagged onto the end of the CD. But, tracks 1-8 are of absolute beauty - overflowing with the Mule attributes I love most > soul and musicianship. Even the Ram remixes have their moments - different lyrics, different soul. Warren LIGHTS IT UP on this album and Warren, if you're reading... drop any of these songs into a set and I'll be all ears!

Rap groups? Sure. Industrial bands? OK. Gov't Mule? NO!!!!!! There are certain type of music that are just made to be remixed and southern rock/blues is not one of them. They even took live performances and removed the audience. Why? I love the Mule but I'm trading this one in! A wise man once said, "If it ain't broke, don't remix it!"
