This isn't Minecraft like you have come to know. This is a reactionary story game that most adults probably won't want to play for very long, but my kids seem to like it. When I first saw my kids play it, the game reminded me of Zork if it had been a visual game. It is a story that moves along and you have to make decisions as the story progresses. What decisions you make determines how the story progresses. The reason I don't think most adults would play the game for extended periods of time is because the dialog is pretty cheesy and a little bit boring to be honest. All in all it isn't a bad game, just don't expect too much from it.

As an extension of the minecraft game that basically converts it to a 1-player, mission based game this is about all you could ask for. Minecraft isn't necessarily a game that needs a mode like this, but it's been perfect for my 7-year-old who needs a bit of 'hand-holding' and can have difficulty to the point of being overwhelmed by sandbox-style games. It's like the rest of Minecraft aesthetically, and he's really enjoying playing it so far. Recommended for younger kids or for anyone that has difficulty getting into Minecraft due to the lack of "story."

I went back and forth between the PS4 and the Xbox One. Both looked great on paper and I am biased against MS. But...my daughter loves minecraft, so I got the Xbox. I have been VERY happy with it, the games are in general very good (addicted to Titanfall and TF2). The interface and quality of the system has been great. I would still like a PS4, but this Xbox does all I want and I even can play in my bedroom, that keeps my wife happy rather than locked up on a computer in the office!

Telltale games did a really good job with the story in this game. This game takes a lot of what Telltale did with their Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us games and gives it that classic Minecraft feel with an original story. This game is by no means one of the best point-and-click adventure games ever released, but I think fans of Minecraft, casual gamers, and point-and-click adventure games will have a lot of fun with this game.

I bought this game for my 14 yr old daughter. She and her little sister (12) love Minecraft. The allure of the game escapes me, but this one is a bit better. There are characters and an actual story. Even my 16 yr old daughter got into the story watching her sister play and was moved to tears at times, despite having no interest in Minecraft, generally.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two continues Jesse's saga in a five-part, narrative-driven, episodic game series developed by Telltale in collaboration with Mojang and members of the Minecraft community. Though players' choices from the first season will carry over into season two, this new season will be accessible to both returning fans and newcomers alike.

I passed this over numerous times - mainly because I don't like having to keep buying add-ons over and over. When I saw this and that it included the whole first series, I picked it up. My son and I had a blast playing this. It has a fantastic voice cast and the mix of role playing, storytelling, and exploration make this a real winner. Pick it up, it's well worth the $20.

Minecraft is one of the games i let my kids play because overall, it is a pretty safe game without all the language and violence of most console games these days. My kids really love all thins Minecraft. This game adds a twist to the Minecraft world and it is smilies to the kids and plays well. All in all a great game at a great price.
