Description
Ministry of Broadcast is a narrative-driven single player cinematic platformer mixing Orwell’s 1984 with modern reality TV. The game is rife with dark humor, sarcastic quips, and the absurdity of the system. Seemingly built overnight, The Wall has divided both a country in two and a man from his family. To see them again, our ginger-haired protagonist has decided to become a contestant on “The Wall Show”, a Regime-organized TV show allowing competitors the opportunity to escape to freedom on the other side. However, as he progresses through the camp, our contestant soon realizes exactly how the Regime and the show operate. The promise of freedom is not exactly what it seems
Features
Run, jump, climb, and smash your way through each Arena while events unfold around you
Much of the story is revealed through seamlessly integrated animation sequences, environment details, or NPCs dropping bits of dialogue as you sneak, dive, and dodge around them
Instead of a screen cluttered with distracting indicators, mini maps, and HP bars overlaying the action, all the information the player will need is incorporated directly into the environment
The game's art contains important hints and clues, so players will need a keen eye if they want to get through each Arena unscathed
You'll need to use your wits, and sometimes a dash of ruthlessness, to advance through each deadly Arena
Much of the puzzle-solving requires you to interact directly with the environment; use your momentum to shift platforms, find and flip the right levers, and possibly sacrifice an NPC or two on your journey
The game features a heavy dose of impish humor, grade-A sarcasm, and comic mischief, balanced against the dark, heavy themes of a thoroughly dystopian world
Customers regard Ministry of Broadcast favorably, particularly praising its unique and fun gameplay reminiscent of Prince of Persia. The inclusion of a steelbook is also a frequently cited positive aspect of the purchase. Positive comments also highlight the game's compelling story, described as both comedic and cinematic. Overall, the feedback points to a well-received game with appealing presentation.

Bought this on-sale. Steelbook is a nice bonus. The game wasn't too difficult. It was short and played through pretty quickly.

Plays like the first prince of persia, or flashback if youre familar with those older games, but the story is almost a comedic mix of 1984 and the truman show, if that makes sense. Gameplay can be tough but forgiving, prolly not for everybody but i enjoyed it. I did like it came bundled with a steelbook, i appreciate those things especially when the game is from a smaller developer and at a fair price.

Not a game for everyone, but if you love tight platforming and a great story this is great. It is also very challenging. Graphics are good and puzzles are challenging. Buy it if interested.

Ministry of Broadcast is a 2020 independent adventure platform video game developed by the developer Ministry of Broadcast Studio. It is inspired by George Orwell's novel 1984. It was mostly praised for its character development, cinematic tone and story; gameplay mechanics were criticized by critics and players

A rather dark humored, pixelated puzzle platformer. Make your way through levels filled with obstacles, traps, red herring solutions while sometimes sacrificing your fellow man to get ahead (don't worry, they come back. Mostly.) The game was about 8 hours in length and it was really fun; but there's not a whole lot more to say beyond that. Some of the humor reminds me of early Sierra and LucasArts graphic adventure games. Really the whole overall look of the game is reminiscent of those games as well.

A story heavy platformer set in a bleak Orwellian dystopia. There are a lot of puzzles to be solved while make your way through the story.
