I upgraded from the 1500M and am thrilled. This model is much faster and scans immediately without any hesitation! The feed is much more accurate and even flimsy narrow receipts scan beautifully with using the guides. I love the wifi even though I don't use it much and the mobile app is great as well. The software interface is darn good and haven't had many problems other than a crash here and there. I use this all,sot exclusively with DevonTHINK Pro.

I had the prior version of the Fujitsu scanner and was very happy with its performance. When I changed jobs, I had to return the scanner and tried other less expensive options, none compared to the Fujitsu. The Fujitsi iX500 is fast, quiet, and versatile. It handles all types of papers and photos. The ScanSnap software that accompanies it is a good start to help get your documents digitally organized. Well worth the price!

I have had this scanner for about 2 weeks now. Mainly using it to declutter. Been scanning all old, as well as new bills and bank statements etc. into easy to create files. The scanner is exceptionally fast, and easy to set up and use. To this point I have nothing bad to say about it, except for it is a little on the expensive side. You do get what you pay for though!

scan fast, accurate, transfer data efficiently, compact size

I've been looking for a scanner, did a lot of research and asked around. This scanner came to the top of the list each time. It's fast, sleek, easy to use. The one challenge is its so sensitive it will "read" the back of a page if the front had strong pen marks. But I truly love it. This is something easy to manage.

The quality of the scans are great. The scanner was very easy to set up - took less than 20 min. I set it up on a laptop running Windows 8. The software is fairly user friendly & comes with various options which I am still learning. The scanner size is small which is great when desk space is limited!

This scanner works just as described. It is very easy to set up and very easy to use. Press the blue button and it immediately starts scanning. Once it is finished scanning all the forms it opens a window asking you where you want it to send the scanned documents. You can then email the documents, file them to your hard drive, or, my favorite, send it to Evernote as a PDF or a JPEG. This scanner is a must have for anyone wanting to have a paperless office. Oh, you don't need a computer to work this baby. You can use your phone as well. One press of a button and you can scan a document into your phone.

Love the machine however, when I opened the box the disc didn't work so I had to have the company help me with downloading the proper applications. And too, there is NO directions....luckily when I've called they have been more than happy to assist me. NOT great for Mac's which I have been told it's on Apple's side of not letting them in so to speak. I think once I get it down it will be GREAT!
