Music sounds simillar to other music on past Rippingtons alums. Not fresh or bold like previous albums

Russ's guitar solos sound more skillful and refined than ever. His musical mastery continues to improve every year like a fine gourmet meal that is prepared to perfection. I listen to this CD first thing in the morning before starting my day, while I'm on break mid-day, and also at night to put me to sleep when I'm going to bed. It's also great to have Jeff Kashiwa back in studio with the guys again, especially after he took an extended break to pursue his solo career. As one of the original founding members of the group, Jeff is one of the primary reasons that The Rippingtons were able to invent the Smooth Jazz/Cool Jazz genre. Russ Freeman, Jeff Kashiwa, Dave Karasony, Bill Heller, and newly added bassist Rico Belled created a masterful studio session that is mixed to perfection on Modern Art. Great CD. Be the first to get yours March 10 on release date and don't miss out!
