works great love the USB connections but there or way cheaper ones out there that have all the same specs

I had an APC battery backup/ surge protector, I bought years ago from Best Buy, it worked great. Problem was the battery for the battery backup was old and needed to be replaced. I didn't need a battery backup anymore but I still needed a surge protector, enter the Monster Core Power 800 with 2 USB outlets in addition to the 8 electrical outlets. We needed a good surge protector for my daughter's dorm room and this one fit the bill. Not only does it allow 8 products to be plugged in at one time, but it also has two USB ports. I really liked the fact that two of the plugs are situated with more room so you can plug in the larger plugs without covering up the plug next to it. This was a good product for the value and has worked well for her.
