Best 3DS game by far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've played MH3U then you'll absolutely love this entry in the Monster Hunter series, and if you haven't then this will probably be the easiest one to get into.

Fantastic Addition to the Monster Hunter Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate provides countless hours of content and fun, especially with the extra DLC the game keeps getting each month. For those who are new to the series, there is a very steep learning curve, so it may take some time to get a hang of the game. However, those who are returning to the series will be able to jump right in and have a blast with the game. Like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, you take on missions by the monster guild, where you do things like hunt down monsters, deliver eggs, or craft something using things you find. Online/local multiplayer hunts as well as explorations bring even more replay value and fun to an already great game! MH4U can be pretty challenging as you progress through the game, too, especially near the level 4 and 5 quests; personally, I love the challenge the game offers! The only downside i've had with this game is controlling the camera, as I have a 3DS XL and need to use the L button or the touch screen to move the camera. Those with the "New" 3DS XL should have an easier time, though, as the "New" 3DS XL has the c-stick that can be used for camera control. Overall, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is a fantastic 3DS game. Any returning Monster Hunter fan will definitely appreciate MH4U, and newcomers are sure to have a blast after overcoming the steep learning curve the game has.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a cut above the others and the previous titles to the franchise. The graphics are better, the monsters are bigger, and the game is still plotless but that is easily overlooked. The game is still your slash and hack style game but boy does it never get old. The graphics are a lot sharper with even better weapons. This game is amazing, worth the buy.

Monstruos amount of content!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not easy to get into, it takes a while before you can really get to the core of the game so if you don't have patience this game isn't for you Once u cross the initial threshold there is so much to do in the game and with the addition of free monthly dlc there doesn't seem an end to the game at the moment. Very enjoyable and more so if you have friends to play with

Even better than the last!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this game! I have the third game as well and while I love that too, this one is better both graphically and control-wise. New weapons, brand new monsters, and the cool storyline have me a little over a hundred hours in so far. Difficulty ramps up pretty quickly in the later section of the game but other than that it's been amazing!

Huge Monsters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my very first time playing monster hunter. I like the fact that you slice up the monster and use their skin as gear. I enjoy playing online and getting help to build up my HR. I so recommend this game. Some monsters are hard to beat.

Overrated but good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this game for two reasons. Got a great deal, and it got 5 star reviews almost everywhere. When it comes to games it is all personal preferences, so keep that in mind that what I write is my own opinion. Pros: Graphics - Best looking game on the system by far...at least in my library Fighting - Going out for the hunt is lots of fun. Lots of content. Neutral: Menu is fine but not great. Some fighting can be redundant. Not always a bad thing. Bad: That darn Cat - I was told I didn't have to play with the darn thing, but already had. Hand Holding - or lack there of. The game did a terrible job of showing you the controls and how to navigate. Took me a while to figure things out. It would be nice for them to have spend a little time guiding you for new players. I would recommend this game. Don't let my comment deter you from a good game. Something can be good and overrated at the same time, and Monster Hunter 4 is one of those games. I would give it a 7 out of 10.

Fantastic Release - Great Introduction to MH Games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MH4U outdid itself! For veterans, with the introduction of two new weapons, the Insect Glaive and the Charge Blade, there's a weapon for everyone. With your trusty Palico sidekick/s (whom you can customize extensivley), you will be ready for any fight. Not to mention online multi-player, you no longer have to play locally with friends. This was the main selling point for me and my friends, we can play the game as long as we're connected to wireless network. If you're new to the series, this is a fantastic way to get into the series. Great in-game tutorials to get you into it.
