Relatively good protection, thickest Mophie ever
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Like all Mophie products, it fits perfectly and is very well constructed and designed - it's built like a tank. Pluses: Case charges wirelessly and case charges the phone wirelessly, so no jacks can wear out in that process on either phone or case - plus, you CAN plug in and rapid-charge case and phone off separate chargers without removing phone. Buttons on case work perfectly and feel as good as phone buttons. Adds virtually no length to the phone, unlike my iPhone 8 Mophie. Minuses: Virtually no protection on bottom of phone. Front edges are only raised on corners and a tiny bit at top edge, so screen isn't very protected - even slightly less than my iPhone 8 Mophie. Heavy and very thick - a lot thicker than any previous iPhone Mophie I have ever seen. While wirelessly charging, both case and phone produce a lot of heat, so that heat might impact the life of your phone (electronics don't like heat). Every time I remove it from the wireless charge stand, I have turn the case back on to keep it powering the phone. This is a change from past cases and is irritating for those of us who always use the case battery first so as to lengthen the overall life of the phone battery. Petty stuff: Silence switch is buried in a pretty deep hole, so it's not easy to get to with anything but a fingernail.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Got the mophie juice pack for iPhone 11 rather than a phone case with a separate battery pack. It’s chunkier than just a case because of the battery... keep that in mind if you use a phone holder (I.e. in the car or at your desk, it might be too thick to fit.). The iPhone 11 earphone actually plugs into the charger port, but with the mophie, you can charge through the mophie AND have the earphones plugged into the phone at the same time. It does show fingerprints which can be a bit annoying, but overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Mophie Heat

Quality3 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I've lost count of the number of Juice Packs I've had over the years (great product to date) but have an issue that I've not experienced before on the latest Juice Pack that I bought last January when I upgraded my phone. On three occasions when I'm using my juice pack to charge my phone, the juice pack is heating the phone up. Most recently, it got hot enough that the phone gave me the "Temperature iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it" warning..." Hopefully, Mophie replaces it.

Excellent iPhone Accessory

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Bought one of these for my XS Max and iPhone 11. Definitely the most useful case I’ve ever had. Charges wirelessly so your lightning port is still usable for headphones and charging. The case charges the phone before it will charge itself so your iPhone’s battery is always priority. The case will charge your phone up by about 35% give or take a few percent. Which while that doesn't sound like a lot, with my phones I’m able to get 3 days of medium usage consistently when starting with both case and phone fully charged before needing to charge them up again. Case is also very beefy in construction and will absolutely protect your phone from your average 4ft drop. I will say though that the case is prone to scratches easily because of the slightly harder material and the matte finish shows oily fingerprints pretty easy to but will clean off with a paper towel wipe down.

It gives you a bit of extended battery life.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I’ve been using Mophie for many years. As time goes on your battery will get weaker and having a case with a battery in it is great to keep you from running out of power. I’m a little bit vague about how many choices for power you can get. I think this is 3200mA. I will have to do some research to find out if there are more powerful. You can also charge it wirelessly too.
