Mortal Kombat has rejoined the ranks of great fighting games. I was koncerned about the future of this series, but those koncerns evaporated when I played this game. The action is fast-paced, brutal and exciting, the graphics are outstanding and look great in HD and the kontrols are easy enough to pick up, you'll be executing krazy kombos and brutal fatalities before you know it. Rather than trying to make this into a 3D fighter, Netherrealm has made it into a top notch 2D fighter in 3D environments. The gameplay harkens bact to the klassic Mortal Kombat II and Mortal Kombat 3, which were the best games in the series up until this one. There are lots of game modes, from one-on-one and tag team fighting to various mini-games. There is even a story mode which is a dramatic retelling of the events of the original Mortal Kombat trilogy. In the story, Raiden recieves a message from his future self that evil warlord Shao Khan must not succede or the Earthrealm is doomed. there are twists and turns that give this mode the feel of an interactive movie. The great kharacters from the original klassics are back. The kharacter designs are striking and distinctive. From terrifying kombatant like Baraka and Quan Chi, to heroes like Liu Kang and Johnny Cage and sexy female fighters like Jade and Sonya Blade. If you have a favorite kharacter from MK, chances are he or she (or it) is in this game. This is a great game, but not for family entertainment. Mortal Kombat is graphically violent. there is a lot of blood and gore and some particularly graphic finishing moves. For players 17 and older, it's a great game but it is not recommended for children. Mortal Kombat warrants its M rating. For brutal 2D fighting, Mortal Kombat kan't be beat. This game is a kut above the rest.

Mortal Kombat combines the novelty of extreme violence with a great fighting engine. My favorite moments with Mortal Kombat were always playing against a friend, but I was disgusted by how unbalanced some of the single-player challenges are. Even still, Mortal Kombat is a great game. It's not the most polished fighter out there, but it has a distinct flavor and it will be a hit at gamer get-togethers. It wll leave you with some friendly advice: show your friends It's amazing.

After years of bad Mortal Kombat games, this reboot may be better than any of the previous games in the series. The single player story mode is epic, spanning the first three games, and is a blast to play thru. Local multiplayer is also great. The only downside to this game, is the online multiplayer tends to occasionally suffer from network lag or input lag. I picked up this copy for a friend. I originally purchased the game and bought the DLC seperately. $19.99 or less is an absolute steal for the season pass characters and skins to be included. Buy it!

It is a game of player vs player in a fighting ring. There is sparring, multi player, story mode, and more. It is a fun game that is worth the price I paid. The fighting moves are a little too rigid for me. I like combos that don't require fancy button work. I am the simple kick kick punch button presser that doesn't have the hand eye coordination or the memory to do tons of combos. I could beat the game without it being too challenging or too easy.

Purchased this for my son. Some of the scenes are kind of gruesome. Having played the game before I knew that going in. Having played the console and PC versions of MK getting used to the moves on the 360 took some time. The only thing I did not like was the with a name like the Komplete Edition, you would expect it to contain previous versions of the game.

Fatality Lives! This game is a must for fans of the Mortal Kombat series. It has a wide variety of characters, excellent gameplay and great graphics. Several different game modes including story mode and a challenge ladder bring variety and hrs of gameplay. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good fighting game.

It's a good Mortal Kombat game, and it's fun to play as Freddy Kreuger. The battles and options are the usual fare for a fighting game, and this one is solid but not innovative. The storylines for the characters are fun to play through, but if you're any good you can complete it an a few hours. The best use of this game is to kill some time battling friends.

My wife and I bought this game so we could hang out and play something we played in college. The graphics are much better and the game is overall more graphic. Don’t get it for your kids thinking it’s going to be as cartoonish as it was when you were younger.
