Bluetooth works good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bluetooth functions works as advertised. However; this is the second one that I've purchased and this one (purchased Jan 28, 2015), the ear peice hook broke on Feb 24th 2015. The quality of the hooks are poor and cannot be purchased seperately. I notified the manufacturer on the 24th (Motorola 1-800-331-6456) spoke with someone named Hector, he gave me Ref #150225003812. When he asked me the model of my earpeice and I stated M165, he informed me that they didn't have no such model number. So I had to get a magnifying glass and read a mini label placed above the UPC Code. Hector stated that he would be sending me an email to send a copy of my receipt to him and then he would send me an replacement ear hook. During our conversation he lacked customer service skills. Today is Feb 28th, still no email. However; there are other ear hook/inserts included but they are too large for my ears.

Great for office setting or at home
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was given one of these as a gift. Perfect Bluetooth for use at home or in an office setting, great sound, long battery life, quick recharge, decent price. Not so much if you're outside or constantly active. The earpiece is somewhat uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear. I had one of these for less than three months when the boom switch snapped off. Motorola replaced it with no problem, but after only one month, the boom snapped off of the replacement as well. Motorola replaced that one too, but it's somewhat of a hassle having to keep making a warranty claim and paying to send them back. My next Bluetooth will be a one piece with no boom to break off. Kudos to Motorola however for standing behind their product and replacing it without question.

The best ever had
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Boom -- lost original the other day removing a lanyard from around my neck -- I liked this model when I had a Casio phone that didn't pair well -- It would not hang up when the button was pushed -- with my Motorola 4g everything works perfect -- the volume is more than ample -- it fits well against my face -- easy to forget it's on my ear -- using google maps with this is much less confusing than having a separate in car gps which competes with the radio and passengers -- never had a complaint from anyone that they couldn't hear me well -- I talk to 20 people a day that use a wide variety of phones -- I couldn't get to a Best Buy fast enough to get my lost one replaced -- battery always lasts a full day with heavy use -- range can sometimes extend to the 2nd floor of my office -- minimum of 30' before getting static -- reconnects automatically if I wander too far and I come back into range -- always get voice prompt disconnecting and reconnecting -- Under $50.00 -- works better than others I talk to -- nuff said

Pretty good product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very comfortable head set with different ear adapters to fit different ear sizes. The battery life is also quite good, I do a lot of phone support with customers throughout the day and has made it all day on a single charge. Very easy to set up to both my phone and windows tablet. The only negative point I have is that the max volume could be a little higher. But over all, a very good product for a decent price.

Made better than the previous model
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved my previous Motorola headset, but it wasn't made well and after a year or so wouldn't open and close properly. Bought this one as a replacement. It's one of the few left that doesn't need to go in your ear. It rests on top of the ear and I prefer this. The sound is good and the charge lasts quite a while. I do get complaints at times that the person on the other end can't hear me well, but I think that's my carrier's (Verizon) problem. I can hear the other person perfectly. The "flip" part of this new headset works perfectly and is made much better than the previous models. I don't think it will break down like the last one. There is one small issue, Motorola used to give you different sized pieces that fit over the ear. They still do, but they're all too large for me. Luckily, I had saved the one from my original headset. If I lose it, it will be a big problem. I wish they would put the small size back in the set.

Q: QuestionIs this Moto as fragile as some claim it to be?To purchase this Moto only to have the boom piece break off, even while being constantly fragile with it, seems to be a waste of money...am I correct in assuming that? Is the boom piece really that flimsy? Peace...AladdinSane ♐
Asked by AladdinSane.
- A:Answer The device is not fragile at all, I work as a firefighter emt and also work in construction, I put it through some rough times and it holds up well.

Q: Questionis this compatable with hearing aid in ear?wear hearing aid in both ear and wonder if this will work with that setup,
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer That will depend on the size and entry into your ear canal of your hearing aid. This device has two types of eargel, one that enters the ear fairly significantly, and one that only breaches the outer ear a little. As long as you have a fully in the ear hearing aid, you should be able to use this. You might also be able to cut a small slice in the eargel to allow for the wire to your control box if you have the type that links the earpiece to a control box.

Q: Questionhow to get 300ft range from motorola boom
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The range depends on the capacity of both devices being paired. If only one supports a range of up to 300ft, then it's going to be limited to the max range of the weaker of the two devices.

Q: QuestionCan one use this device WITHOUT an earhook and will it stay secure in ear without popping out?
Asked by AladdinSane.
- A:Answer It depends on your ear shape. When I do not use the ear hook, the device comes loose when turning my head quickly. I just press it back in. Thank goodness, that is not very often.
