Exceptionally Amazing Phone
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendComing from someone who's had the original Droid, Droid Incredible, Droid X, Droid Charge, Droid Bionic and the original Droid Razr, believe me when I say this is hands down the best Android phone I've ever owned. And for one reason: battery life. Even though I loved the Droid series, I've been tempted to jump ship to the iPhone for the better battery life and smoother interface, but Motorola addressed the issue of a better battery with it's Droid Razr Maxx like I've never seen in a smart phone. I'm used to plugging in my phones on average every 6 to 8 hours, and even though I charge this phone almost every night, I can easily go into a second day of use with almost half battery life. That alone is truly incredible to me. Other than that, the phone's still a workhorse and busts through any app like a champ with it's powerful 1.2 Ghz processor. I also noticed the call quality seems stronger with the Maxx compared to last year's Razr. And with the Gorilla glass front, the phone is near shatter-proof (not to say that it is, because any phone with the right drop will still break the screen) but I've dropped this phone twice and amazingly this phone hasn't even shown a scratch. I would still recommend Best Buy's Black Tie protection however as it cover's any and all accidents excluding submersion. I used to go through Verizon's Aserion service but I got sick of having to pay $100 every time my phone broke. But also consider getting the Buy Back program with the phone if you get Black Tie, this let's you sell back any phone from Best Buy at half retail value (I got $400 in-store credit for my original Razr) In short, you'll probably love this phone, it's faster, stronger, sleeker and has better battery life than any other smartphone on the market (right now) and if you don't like it, you'll have 2 weeks to return it which is something I've done with phones I've hated that I got from Best Buy Mobile.

Longest battery life out there
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is my first time owning a smartphone so I did a lot of research before choosing a phone I wanted to be stuck with for two years. I don't regret my choice one bit. I can easily go a full day with very heavy use, and three days with light to moderate use. Out of all the phones I could have picked this one just out because of the huge battery in such a slim phone. The screen is very sharp and vivid, the dual cores make the phone snappy and responsive with little to no lag even with multiple apps running. The phone is on the larger scale however I do not have large hands by any means and I am still able to text on this phone when it is in landscape. The phone feels really nice in the hands with good weight to size ratio. The standard razr feels a bit light so the extra weight added by the bigger battery actually makes it better in my opinion. And the bigger battery also addressed the one major physical aspect I didn't like about the standard razr and the droid x1 and x2, the big hump, this one slowly transitions into the camera area making it more visually appealing. The only complaint is no ICS but that is very minor complaint because there is nothing wrong with gingerbread really, and ICS will be available eventually. Over I don't think I could be more satisfied with my choice. Excellent phone. Well done Motorola!

Worth every penny
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have had this phone for a few months and I have had the Samsung Omnia and then a Droid X. The Maxx blows the others away. The battery IS amazing. The features are perfect, screen size is good and very clear. Sleek and fits into my pocket easily. I prefer to keep the phone in a pocket as opposed to a holster. I use the Otterbox Commuter case for it and a Zagg screen protector, it does NOT look like a brick. The commuter case is smaller than the defender case. I can use the phone all day with calls, apps. and texting, etc. and I have no problem with the battery life. I'm sure it would last for days if you didn't have alot of things running in the background. If a review on here bashes the battery, it would be my guess that they have things running in the background they are unaware of. It is really to turn on wifi, gps, adjust screen brightness and sync your emails. The navagation is amazing! I repeat, you will not need a Garmin or any other gps nav. again. It will do it for you. The play store (apps. has a ton of options, you can search multiple categories and then search top free or top paid and top grossing in those categories. The camera is super crisp, I use it often at work at I get comments about how clear the pics are all the time. Video is great. It's simple to send the pics or any other items to emails, Facebook, Text message, etc...I could talk about this phone for a long time. I really can't find a negative to write about it, although, on occasion I work in basements, and the reception obviously is not very good. (but what phone would be when your surrounded by concrete and steel!!?) When this phone is in 4g LTE, forget it, it's ridiculously fast. It destroys the speed I had on the Droid X in 3g. If you get this phone, check out the option to speak your text messages and searches. You tap the microphone icon near the space bar and speak your message, speak clearly, and it inputs the text for you. No need to type or swype it in!

Good smartphone
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis was my first foray into smartphones and it's been a very good experience so far. Far and away, the battery life on this phone is better than good. I'm very impressed with that. Still learning the ins and outs of the phone, so it's hard to say just how great it is, but it's great for me and was a good choice for me. No regrets.

Great phone
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPeople should REVIEW THE PHONE. Just because you can't figure out how to use it or sync with your devices is not the phones fault. Some of these reviews are worthless. This phone has an excellent battery, the highest quality most durable build out there, and nobody does radios like Motorola. (Considering they invented the cell phone) GPS locks on instantly and call reception/strength is top notch. The screen could have been better, but it's actually quite good. Some new phones may have better specs, but what good are they if the battery can't last through the day. I can't stress enough the relief it provides to never have to worry about your phone dying. I also like the fact that Motorola is a US company of which there are only 2, and the other doesn't interest me.

Rugged and reliable with ALL the features
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWe have 2 Samsung Galaxy s-3's in our household. They're GREAT phones and the quality and advanced features of those phones prompted me to consider upgrading from my old Droid 2, which is still an excellent phone, just outdated now. The battery life on the Samsung is not good....and the phone doesn't give me the impression that it's highly durably....bot WOW, what features. Enter the Motorola Razr Maxx. It does almost everything the Samsung does (and will probably do EVERYTHING ) as soon as Motorola releases the 4.2 update....something they've promised 1st quarter this year. I'm a HUGE Samsung fan. All my appliances are Samsung, and I'm EXTREMELY happy with each one. I'm sure I'd have liked the s-3 too, and came close going that route. I feel the same way about Motorola phones as I do Samsung appliances. I'v owned several and NEVER had a problem, complaint or broken unit. So it was a tough choice at first. The more I researched the Razr Maxx, the more pleased I was with what it offered. I'm EXTREMELY happy with it and I can go a couple of days between charges while the Samsungs need to be plugged in multiple times a day. Regarding strength, durability and water resistance there's no contest. Motorola all the way. And the car dock....it's a MUST HAVE for this phone. I'm convinced the Motorola system is the best available at this time. Oh, and it didn't hurt that Best Buy did a price match which made this phone quite a bit less than the Samsung. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this phone.

Everything as advertised
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIf you're not new to the Android operating system, there's really nothing different than most other Android devices. Motorola's "skin" (referred to as "Motoblur") isn't too intrusive. Personally, I like it. The only downside I had with this phone (which is a completely personal issue, that is no longer present) was coming from Sprint's Samsung Galaxy SII, I felt the screen was a bit tiny. Granted, it's not at all (at 4.3", it's the same as my EVO which I owned prior to my GSII). As I stated before, after a month with it, it is no long an issue at all. This thing is rugged, and sleek. This is the first phone I don't feel I need to protect with a case. I'm careful with my stuff to begin with, so generally don't need a case, but I've always had one. There really isn't enough you can say about this battery. It truly is everything they've advertised. The battery, coupled with Motorola's "Smart Actions" app can get you days on one charge with normal-to-heavy use. It's truly nice to know you'll have a phone to use without worry of carrying around extra chargers/batteries/etc. I truly don't know how manufacturer's will be able to produce phones in the future with anything less than a battery as capable as this. Even with Verizon's 4GLTE network on all the time, this thing is a workhorse. Even though this is a review of the phone itself, I feel it necessary to mention the network. I purchased this after gladly leaving Sprint and their beaten-down network. I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I can pull out my phone wherever and whenever I want and use it without worry about the network not performing.
