Love It - Great Android Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The "phone" itself is rock solid. Motorola quality from top to bottom. I have paired this phone with an Otter Box Commuter Case, and it is ready for the rigors of my world. I do have some issues with the stock Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, not doing somethings that my old Droid would do, but that is NOT a "phone" issue. Motorola offers a 64GB memory for this phone, but my local BestBuy and Verizon only offered this model with 32GB. Bottom line: I paid $99 and a two year Verizon contract. Good solid phone. I'm Happy!!!

It is good, but not worth all the hype
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am actually on my second Turbo as my first one was defective. I got it the day before leaving for vacation and had it for a little over a week while in Walt Disney World. With a battery requiring charging literally after half a day, sound not working, WiFi not picking up in areas it definitely had strong signal, and pictures that I had taken going from beautiful to black empty squares taking up the spaces my pictures once were, I was more than frustrated dealing with these issues while visiting the happiest place on earth. Anyhow, I gave Motorola the benefit of the doubt and exchanged for a new Turbo instead of switching to a Samsung. While my second Turbo is working much better, it isn't as amazing as it James Franco made it out to be as he gracefully plummeted from the rooftop in the commercial. My battery lasts me through the day with normal use. I stay connected to WiFi about 75% of my day. I'm on and off FB, instagram, and the internet throughout the day, I send texts, emails, and make phone calls too. At best, with normal use for the tech dependent person, this phone gets a full 24 hours. I am very impressed with the quality of the camera this phone has. Even my "defective" Turbo took great pictures while in Disney, to the tune of being able to see individual lights on Cinderella's castle after Elsa froze it. The "selfie" camera is OK. It rates with every other phones front facing camera, nothing spectacular, but handy when you want to make sure you are getting a picture of your face not just an ear or you and half of your bestie. I think that Motorala has once again put way too much bloatware in a great phone. Bloatware that can't be deleted either. It's a shame too, so many people have complained about this. You would think they would get rid of it, make it deletable, or be smart and make a version without it and charge $50 more for it. I know I would pay the extra to have a phone without things like NFL Mobile, IMDB, Google this and that... Other than that the phone is a decent phone, I have had issues with the volume, as many people have complained about. Its a fast phone, not too many glitches, a few updates I don't like but I'm getting used to them. Over all, I like the phone. I don't notice any huge difference between the Turbo and the Maxx. If I didn't get a good deal on this I probably wouldn't have upgraded and gotten some more use out of my Maxx. But, if you are in the market for a new Motorola smartphone this is a good choice.

The best smart phone to date!....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best phone so far I've seen out there. The camera is unbeatable, very clear when it's used properly. The battery is the best part. I don't have to bring my charger anymore like most everybody else do. I've seen a lot of people at work recharging shortly after noon daily including me when I had my old phone. This phone lasts me for 2 days now before I need to recharge again and if I overuse it, it still last me all day until I get home from work. Recharging is very fast, sound is great. I could care less about the other features that other phones has or others say against this phone..... the Droid Turbo has the clearest camera, best battery, fastest charger and the sound is loud enough for my bad hearing.

Great Phone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was back and forth whether to go with the Turbo or wait for the Nexus 6 to hit Verizon. Ended up with the Turbo and aside from all the bloatware Moto threw on the phone, I couldn't be happier. This was my first time upgrading through Best Buy and the process was simple. Much easier than going through Verizon, not to mention it was $100 less through Best Buy. I upgraded from the Razr Maxx HD and found the larger phone size easy to adjust to. The picture/video quality is great. Although I read a lot of complaints about the camera, I find it more than sufficient for what one would use a phone as a camera for. IMO, if you want great pictures, buy a DSLR...not a phone.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going from a Samsung S3 this phone took a little adjustment to get used to. Believe me it was worth it! This is my first Motorola and doubt I'll purchase any other manufacturer again. About two months now with the Turbo and I have no regrets. Moto's build quality is superb and almost no messing with the android system unlike other manufacturers like to do. Bloat wear is kept to an extreme minimum and only Verizon tossed in the annoyances of pocket fleecing app's. No big deal just disable them and move on. Battery life is more than I could have dreamed of. Charge before work and not charge again till next day and I'm still at 80% battery!!! My S3 was tethered to a portable battery pack but I even gave that pack away, never going to need it again with the Turbo. No micro SD card is not an issue as this has 32GB, plenty of room. I've pretty much moved on to cloud based storage anyway. Highly recommend!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loveThe droid turbo ballistic. The size is perfect text is easy, camera is great love that you can press anywhere to take a picture, set up was easy to understand. Love all the features and sleekness of the phone and the ballistic texture makes it essy to grip. Finding a case online was easy and fit nicely.it does seem a bit heavy for a smart phone and has to many apps preloaded that you cant remove but love it very happy with this phone and the turbo charge does it job charging super fast.

Turbo is right!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great phone. My only issue had been the inability to use data services (text messages, map app, email app) while on an active call if not connected to WIFI at the same time. That is an important feature. Thankfully after talking to a Second Verizon store I was able to do a settings update that has restored that function. So now I just enjoy a great phone with amazing battery life.

Great Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great phone. The battery life is very good and the phone overall is very fast. Sadly even 2 months after purchasing there are still not a lot of accessories that fit it well. My biggest issue is that there is no files folder which on past Motorola phones made it easy to move files around and organize the phone. The camera takes incredible pics and has some nifty little tricks like shaking the phone to get it to the camera function regardless on if the phone was sleeping or in some app.

Q: Questiondoes this phone have a free replacement on the screenmy phone is broken the clerk said it has a free screen repl. but Verizon says sorry not the blue one what is up with that
Asked by trucker.
- A:Answer NO they will not replace it.Best Buy stores sells a specific exclusively colored cell phone which the manufacturer & carrier will not honor an advertised product warranty. I recently purchased a Droid Turbo phone in the new Best Buy exclusive (blue) color. The device is also exclusive to Verizon Wireless. The Droid Turbo is advertised by both the manufacturer (Motorola) and Verizon Wireless as including one complimentary replacement of a damaged screen under what both call the "Screen Assurance" program. I dropped the phone less than 6 inches onto my counter top and the screen of my 13 day old device shattered. I contacted Best Buy and attempted to submit a claim through Geek Squad insurance. I was told by the store that the Droid Turbo comes with one free replacement and that I should contact Verizon Wireless to file the claim. This set in motion a 6 hour ordeal in which Verizon Wireless, Motorola and Best Buy all pointed the finger at each other while each stating they would not honor the policy. After the 6 hours, the bottom line is that Best Buy states it is an advertised feature of Motorola that uses Verizon Wireless as the agent to receive damaged devices and distribute replacement devices. Best Buy also stated that there is no way to get their blue device replaced without filing a Geek Squad claim and paying a $149 deductible. They informed that Verizon would only replace with a black device. Verizon, meanwhile stated that had I purchased any color other than blue, they would happily provide the free replacement. However, since Best Buy circumvents the carrier on all of their "exclusive" blue phones, Verizon cannot accept them (even if I was willing to accept a black replacement). They stated that Best Buy should be the one honoring the Motorola policy on best buy exclusive devices just as Verizon honors all non-Best Buy-exclusive devices. AT NO TIME DID BEST BUY INFORM ME THAT BY PURCHASING ONE COLOR OVER ANOTHER I WOULD BE FORFEITING MY RIGHT TO AN ADVERTISED FEATURE OF THE PHONE. VERIZON ALSO STATED THAT THIS EXCEPTION IS WIDELY KNOWN TO EACH COMPANY, DESPITE NOT INFORMING THE END CUSTOMER PRIOR TO PURCHASE. Lastly, I spoke to Motorola who stated that the "screen assurance" is not, in fact, their policy at all, but rather Verizon's. They stated only Verizon or Best Buy can fulfill the replacement. They also said they did in fact have blue devices available and can replace my broken device for a $125 charge. Ultimately I was told that the only reason the policy would not be honored is because I bought the "Best Buy exclusive color" and that had I simply purchased any other color from Best Buy or any other retailer, the policy would be honored. Best Buy does not provide any information at point of sale to inform the customer of this odd exclusion. More importantly, Motorola's website advertises the benefit (without exclusion) and redirects to a Verizon Wireless web page with a program FAQ and instructions for filing a claim. The program FAQ also states no exclusions of any specifically colored device. I feel this is false advertisement that caused me to purchase a device where known restrictions were not provided to the consumer. Note: I have the screen shots captured from each company's websites as proof that (as of today) this misleading advertising is still in place. I even offered (as a last effort) for Verizon to simply credit me $125 to offset the cost of replacing the device directly from Motorola. I assumed Verizon would provide such credit (amounting to less than one month's bill) as a gesture of good will to an over 20 year customer. My request was denied.

- A:Answer I have asked a couple of different ways. I called a couple of stores, asked VZW and used Best Buy's chat. It looks like right now at least the 64 GB variant is going to stay a VZW store exclusive.
