Customers are saying
Customers admire the Moto G Stylus for its remarkable camera quality, affordable price, and the convenience of the stylus feature. The long battery life and ample storage space are also highly appreciated. While some users have concerns about its durability, the lack of wireless charging, NFC, and a slight learning curve, these drawbacks seem to be outweighed by the phone's overall strengths.

Great budget phone for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Galaxy Note 10, its pretty good for ⅓ of the cost. But its no Note 10, so don't come at it with that expectation. Seriously, if you are expecting it to operate like a samsung note, don't bother you will be disappointed. On the other hand, for the price I was definitely impressed. Camera & memory specs are much better than comparable phones in the same price range. Battery life is excellent. Stylus is a nice bonus.. Screen is clear & bright, however screen is super sensitive which can be very irritating at the wrong time. (Don't swipe to input text unless you want to constantly re-edit.) I was a bit disappointed at the lack of wireless charging. But all in all its a very good phone at a very nice price... if you are not looking to invest an outrageous amount of money it costs to purchase the current top of the line phone, I definitely recommend this phone.

An unmatched value, keeps up with the best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Moto G Stylus for about a month. Coming from previous "flagship" devices such as the Pixel lineup, I was prepared to be underwhelmed but accept it with the budget pricepoint. I chose this phone because Motorola's added little software parts are usually unintrusive and useful. Also, it has a stylus! -Display- The display punches well above its weight class, coming in at 2300x1800, which when paired with the 6.4" size squeaks in at 399 pixels per (square) inch. It's also an "IPS" -Camera- Like many budget phones, the camera usually takes the biggest hit. Still, the "camera array" it packs is quite impressive for the price. Still though, I find the camera struggles in high light and low light scenarios where it introduces a lot of fuzziness, reminding me to use practices back from the smartphones of old. -CPU/RAM/Storage- The Snapdragon 665 CPU is a octo (8) core CPU. It seems to keep up with anything it needs to. The Moto G Stylus sports 4GB of onboard RAM which in my opinion is sufficient and I haven't noticed any issues switching between apps in my day-to-day. Onto storage, the Moto G Stylus ships with 128GB of onboard which is fantastic, and a microSDXC slot for expansion even. This is wonderful for a handset at this pricepoint. You can snap and save until the cows come home and have room to grow. -Battery/Charging- The Moto G Stylus has a non-removable yet impressive 4000 mAh battery, sure to get you through the day and then some. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging available on the phone, another factor to keep in mind with most price conscious handsets. In one of my pictures I am showing a third-party accessory which can add a wireless charging coil to any phone, being plugged into the charge port full time. Bonus: saves from charge port fatigue/debris. The 15W-capable charging via "Moto TurboPower" will zap enough juice in your phone to keep you on your day without significant interruption. -Quirks and more- There is no NFC available with this handset. This means that tap to pay with Google Pay is unavailable. Usually I wouldn't consider this that important, but in this day and age with the pandemic, it's nice to touch less public items and simply tap to pay. The fingerprint reader on the back "M" is significantly better than my old Pixel 3 XL, but still isn't on iPhone level in my opinion. This Stylus isn't "smart" or super high tech like the Samsung Note phones, but this thing costs a fifth of a Note phone and sometimes simpler is better. I'd personally rather have 80% of the functionality for 20% of the price, than the extra 25% features for 500% price. When you pop the stylus, some onscreen helpers appear. You can also program it to automatically launch a notes app, or anything you'd like. Pretty handy. Motorola's "always on" display mode is WONDERFUL! I've never appreciated an always on display mode until now, and I'm hooked. It's nice that your whole screen doesn't have to come on to get a glimpse at notifications or to change the music track. Energy saver! The body of the phone is a beautiful "mystic indigo". I didn't think they still made cool looking phone backplates. They do, and it's here! I love the deep partially-reflective, metallic look.

Great Budget Phone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone and popped in a SIM from Visible with no issues. Invest in a good case because the back plastic is unappealing with fingerprints and harder to grasp. The main 48MP camera takes great photos but my only gripe is the 16MP camera appears grainy on video chat compared to my Z4 which had a 24MP selfie cam. The selfie cam does take great photos though! The built in stylus is a nice budget feature and is great for editing screenshots. I have 30 user installed apps on this phone so my RAM utilization is around 60-70% so with 4GB of RAM installed this phone might not be best for users with a lot of installed apps running in the background. There is an Adaptive Performance feature under the settings that helps improve RAM efficiency and helps apps open faster so give that a try. I did experience some occasional freezing on some websites, mainly Facebook, but overall I could browse most sites without any issues. Motorola suggests that your restart this phone regularly to keep it running optimally.

Nice addition from Motorola
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone hits on enough of the pluses to be an awesome phone ie battery life, speakers/sound quality, camera, and the long appreciated Moto Actions. The only missed for me are lcd instead of POLED, cheap plastic body, and the SIM trey is hard to get in and out. Still, this phone is awesome. Add the POELD and Z series metal body, I'd happily pay another $200. I've already recommended this phone to slot of friends. 7 hours screen on time. Wow.

Great value smart phone and camera.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Moto G Stylus phone as an upgrade from a Galaxy 6 because I had worn out that camera. I like the overall size and feel of the phone. The transfer of files from old to new phone seemed easier than I had expected. I am still learning some of the new phone commands, but I am very happy with its quality, its bigger display and a camera that is working like a champ.

Q: QuestionDoes this phone work with Verizon wireless prepaid and if so how much is it ready to go.
Asked by Justj.
- A:Answer This phone does not work well with Verizon. Ive been on with tech support for days trying to figure out what the problem is. Currently this phone will not allow you to use data while on a call unless your connected to WIFI. You wont get HD voice you wont get MMS messages while on the cellular data. You can't send pictures while on a call. Verizon says its not a problem on their system and its a problem with the phone

Q: QuestionWill the unlocked model work on the Sprint network?
Asked by MrMark.
- A:Answer Yes, I had a difficult time getting the correct Sprint sim however. Had to specifically request they send me a SIMOLW416TQ which activated with no issues. If their local service centers were open it would probably been easy with a knowledgable tech but online and phone support only wanted to tell/give me what they showed in their system.
