Best budget phone for $$$ 7/9/2018
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace an iPhone 7 without spending a lot of money, and without feeling like I took a serious down grade. I can proudly say I got a phone that is significantly cheaper, and that I enjoy significantly more. It executes everything in a snap, with no lag (like the iPhone 7 after I updated the software...), has a solid screen brightness (can see while I’m hiking), is backwards compatible onto 3G networks, and has an INCREDIBLE battery life. The turbo charger isn’t just some overzealous hype - this little guy charges soooo much faster than any electronic Ive ever used. A common pitfall in the budget phone game is the camera, and for a 200 dollar phone this camera is incredible. It still might be quite as great as an iPhone 7 camera, but it doesn’t miss the mark by much. Not enough to justify spending a gagillion more dollars, and get back in apples little hardware/software prison. The Moto Gestures leave a lot of folks jealous - just make a “chop chop” motion and the flashlight turns on, and do a little “twist twist” to turn on the camera, and a “three finger press” will take a screen shot. Shizzam, this phones too legit. I couldn’t be happier, glad Motorola is back in the game. After thoughts / Pro tips: Get a rugged poetic case (will survive drops, yet it doesn’t smother your microphone - so people can hear you on the other line), get the WRIO keyboard (google keyboard is bad news), DuckDuckGo browser, Signal messenger for SMS, ProtonMail app for email, webroot security to avoid malware on a budget (make sure you get a deal, got mine for 20$), cover up that selfie cam, and stay away from the clouds. Choosing the right apps ensure you remain the consumer, which is really to ensure you dont become “the product” those “free” apps sell in the form of information ;)

Amazing phone! Especially at this price point.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I have been extremely pleased with my Moto g6. I highly recommend it and it has received great reviews from those that know. I can't imagine that a more expensive phone would have much if any added value unless you are a complete phone geek or a member of the MacIntosh/Apple/iPhone 'cult'.

Great phone, poor shell.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is fast and takes great pictures, but I dropped it about 1 feet fall and the entire glass back shattered. Really poor design decision for a budget phone! Get a tough case for this fragile phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Motorola Customer Care
Posted .Hi James215, I understand how it feels to have your phone broke its screen. The screen is made of glass. All glass is fragile and can be broken when dropped. We suggest users using a protective case to give more protection on the phone. You can send in your device for repair to have the screen replaced: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/mcp/service/ -Jess

Great value smartphone under $300
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes it's possible to pay far less than the nearly $1000 for a smartphone and still get all the power and features you need and want. Fast, easy to transfer, still has an earphone jack and slot for an SD card. Great screen resolution and camera takes great pics (see attached)

Decent phone for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Moto G6 is a decent phone for the price, which was on sale at the time. The screen has about 10% more surface area than my Blue.

Q: QuestionWill it work with Metro PCS?
Asked by Jim.
- A:Answer I just got my Moto g6 a few days ago and I have Metro. It works perfectly. You have to call Metro to activate it so that your imei is tied to your phone number. Hope it helps!

Q: QuestionIf I activate today, do I lose use of my present phone until my moto arrives?
Asked by Suzanne.
- A:Answer You will lose use of your present phone as soon as you request a transfer of your current number to the new phone. I had purchased a new SIM card from my provider and once I put it into my new phone, I was able to request a phone# transfer. From the time I pressed submit, my number had transferred to the new phone within an hour. I couldn't send texts or make calls from the old phone during that hour.

Q: QuestionIs the Moto G6 compatible with Android Auto, including on car screen mapping? It is not on the list at the Android Auto website, but maybe that's because it is a new phone.
Asked by Chas.
- A:Answer I've have an issue with Android Auto and my Moto G6 almost every time I attempt to use it. At first I thought it was my car, then I used it on a different make and model and still had issues. Something goes wrong almost every time. I have tried various approved USB cables, but that didn't fix the issues. I went back to using my phone holder and just using Google maps and Pandora on the phone, and it works flawlessly.

Q: QuestionHi, Want to hear from actual AT&T customers. I would like to know if there are any issues with using this Unlocked Motorola Moto G^ with 32GB memory phone with AT&T? Are all the functions & Apps accessible? Please and Thank You!
Asked by TickTock.
- A:Answer I use the moto g6 on att and have had no issues it works great Miami.

Q: QuestionWhy does the Ad say with Activation if it's an unlocked phone?
Asked by Cybdiver.
- A:Answer There are two prices - you get $50 off if you are activating with a new number. I was replacing a phone so that discount did not apply. It's a great phone for a great price either way and getting an unlocked phone means I can change carriers if I see a better deal and don't have to change phones.

Q: QuestionI love Motorola ! I have a GEN5 Plus.....How can you call this an upgrade when it has a slower processor?
Asked by NYC.
- A:Answer You're going from the G5 Plus to G6 (regular). The G6 Plus (which isn't offered in the US) does have a better processor. However, the processor seems to feel just as fast. Benchmarks are only on paper and Android Oreo seems to help make everything a bit faster.

Q: QuestionWho do you have to activate with. Can I choose the carrier I want?
Asked by Jeannine.
- A:Answer Yes, this phone can be used with any GSM or CDMA carrier. You will need a SIM card for the carrier of your choice and a service plan.

Q: QuestionI have an Moto G6 for 1week now and when I connect with my WIFI at home it's doesn't work out good and the internet was slow and sometimes it's lost .But on my another phone,i have no problem about this,I want to know what wrong with it?
Asked by Kitty.
- A:Answer Try giving the phone a static IP sometimes routers and phones don't play well with each other. Is the problem only at home? If it happens everyplace put it in a paper bag swing it over your head 3 times while cursing profoundly. If that doesn't work call for warranty replacement.
