Customers highly value the Moto X (4th Generation) for its excellent camera, affordable price, and long battery life. Many users appreciate that it is unlocked, waterproof, and easy to use. However, some customers have concerns about its limited internal storage, durability issues after extended use, and speaker volume.

The Moto X4 is a decent entry level phone, nothing more than that. Surprisingly Motorola has been providing Updates for the X4 for almost 2 years from release date. 32 gb storage, SD soc chip and IP68 suggest more than entry level performance, But the X4 has suffers from hiccups and stutters never encountered with other Motorola phones owned (G4 play, G5+, G6). A quirk is that on the X4 you cannot format and treat the SD card as expansion of the internal memory (unlike moto G5+, G4 play, and G6) . The softwares and Android OS updares have decreased available memory. Only photos can be adapted to be written on SD card. For some reason spotify storage setting ALWAYS reverts to internal memory setting (only on the X4 does this happen!). Because of the internal shortage memory freezes, becomes inoperable several times a week. The 3000mh battery is enough for one full day usage. At least the included 'turbo' 15w charger provides quick charges, no overnight plug in. The Moto X4 was not worth the 2hundred$ I paid for..at least Motorola keeps dropping price to make it attractive and somehow competitive in 2019. PS- case is required, glass build is slippery and fragile.

At the current price point of $350 this is one of the top phones you can currently buy. It's super fast in which I have experienced no lag what so ever, I am currently getting 9 hours, yes you read that right..9 HOURS!! of on screen time. This is mainly used on wifi and in developer options I pretty much disable any and all apps from running in the background. The front and rear camera are excellent, a couple of software updates should continue to improve and allow for this camera to continue to also be one of the best at this price point as well. When it comes to phones I am extremely picky but Lenovo did it right with this, sd630 runs incredibly smooth, and with expandable storage, and being ip68 rated, I have nothing to complain about. Also the finger print sensor is one of the most accurate and fastest out there so be careful when sleeping, if your side chick decides to go through your stuff you might be screwed lol Good day all.

Replaced my ASUS ZenFone Zoom with the X4 after frustrations with unpredictable and generally poor battery life. I will never buy another ASUS phone. The Moto X4 is superior in every way to any of my previous phones and simply works, without the quirks, the way you want a phone to. I'm now a fan of the Moto/Lenovo brand and will only buy phones with the stock Android OS. The Moto X4 impresses by just being a do it all type of phone. It's quietly elegant in the looks department and will impress anyone who sees it in person. Performance is solid and reliable being almost stock android; everything just works well with no signs of lagginess or unneeded mfr layers to slow things down. The LTE Modem performance also impresses with the highest throughput I've ever experienced. X4's IPS screen is bright, vibrant, and colors look great and I think it is as good as OLED in real world use. IP68 waterproofing is icing on the cake allowing you to not have to worry about environmental conditions. It's a solid phone at a reasonable price and perfect as a daily driver. I think my only gripe is the camera performance in low light is somewhat of a let down. Camera is a tad slow in focusing and pictures often times come out excessively noisy in poor lighting situations. I'm hoping the Oreo update addresses the camera low light issues. In good lighting, I found the camera to perform pretty well with well exposed and color accurate shots. Dynamic range could be better with highlights being blown out at times but manageable. Overall a solid performing, solidly built phone at a reasonable price. Moto throws in some cool features such as the ability to pair and play up to 4 different bluetooth speakers/headphones simultaneously. Moto Key, Actions, Display, and Voice overlays are all great and well integrated into the overall experience. Yes there are phones with better specs but many of them come at a higher cost and they also come with more quirks and compromises from being feature rich. Prior to the ASUS, I owned an HTC One and Samsung S5. When shopping, I also looked at the Samsung S8, LG V20, G6, and Sony XA1 and XZ; Yes, they have some wow factor but when it came down to doing the core functions, I felt the Moto X4 had what I wanted at a better value proposition. Plus I wanted a phone with less OS fluff (stock android experience). If you want a well designed phone that just simply works reliably, performs well, and has all of the right features including good battery life.... look no further.... Moto X4. Highly recommended.
