Not strong enough to support the weight of a tablet. No matter what I did, every time I put my tablet in the stand, it would just collapse under the weight. For the record, this was a Samsung Galaxy 7 tab, so it wasn't anything massive. Returned the next day.

I look at a few different ones before buying this one. I think it's the best one on the market. I use it to hold an iPad pro latest edition. I had an otter box around my iPad and had to take it off so it would fit. Not nuts about not having a case on a $1200 tablet but mount holds it well,

Bought this literally to mount next to my bed so I can watch movies in my iPad while in bed, I would always before put it on my bed or on a table which would just end up falling. Has many movable positions for the perfect viewing angle.
