Those who have never heard Jesse Fuller are missing out on one of the best old blues singers that was ever recorded. His music has been covered by Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, the Grateful Dead, and Peter, Paul & Mary to name a few. He has a unique approach to his music; he plays unaccompanied, and he uses both hands, both feet and his mouth. In addition to singing and playing the 12-string guitar, he plays a high-hat cymbal with one foot, and a fotdella, an instrument of his own invention ("kind of a 5-string bass-like thing on the floor" according to Ramblin' Jack Elliott) with the other foot. He also wears a harmonica collar much like Bob Dylan, except that in addition to a harmonica it also holds a kazoo. That's right friends, he plays the kazoo, and it sounds awesome. He plays a mixture of traditional tunes and songs that he wrote himself. In short, he is one of the most delightful musical artists that I have ever run across, and to those about to hear him for the first time I can only say that you are in for a treat.
I would recommend this to a friend
