I thought twice before buying this grinder because of the mixed reviews. I ended up using my rewards points toward buying it so the grinder was practically free for me. So for free, I decided to get this grinder. At first when I tried it, it worked awesome. It grinded the coffee beans without a problem. It is convenient to load the bean holder (bowl) on top and not worry about filling it up every time I need to grind coffee beans. After about five uses, the grinder didn't grind because the beans were not coming down from the bowl. I poked the bottom of the bowl with a spoon to try to remove any jammed beans that were not allowing the beans to flow freely to the grinder. That seemed to fix the problem until the same thing happened again after another three uses. I got frustrated and wanted to throw the grinder as far as I could for being a piece of junk. After I calmed down with the help of a few Coronas, I got happy and gave the grinder another chance. I unscrewed the bowl (You have to screw on the bowl when setting it up for the first time) and removed a few beans that were on the grinding teeth. I gave the grinding teeth a good once over brushing with the small brush that comes with the grinder. After that, the grinder worked perfectly every time since. It is convenient to set the dial at the amount of coffee you want to grind so that you can place the ground coffee immediately in your coffee machine and have fresh coffee. The grinder only grinds the amount you set for it to grind and automatically turns off once it reaches that amount. This was the selling point for me. You don't have to press a button several times to grind your coffee to your liking, like with other grinders. This machine grinds the amount you want and at the size you want your coffee to be grinded in one press of a button. The blue light at the dial to measure how many cups you want to grind, is a little brighter than I would like but, it is not too bright to the point of annoying me. You do have to brush out some of the coffee from the container it falls to after you grind your coffee. It does spill a little coffee if you are not careful pouring the ground coffee to your coffee machine. I have decided to keep the grinder as I found the pros to outweigh the cons. I have owned this grinder for one month and have not had any problems since the initial ones. Hopefully it does not break down before the warranty is over. I definitely recommend giving this grinder a chance if you are patient. If you are not, then maybe this grinder is not for you.
