Best show on television....period
Posted .From the opening scene...you are hooked. And then it gets REALLY interesting !!! Elliot is a likable main character, supporting cast is excellent.....the story is full of twists and turns that you don't see coming. You will probably say "holy **** " more than once. I can't recommend this show enough.....seriously. Best show on television.

Great writing, fantastic perfomances
||Posted .I wrote a whole, long review, and then closed out of the browser before submitting it properly, so I'll try to briefly paraphrase what I had typed before. Mr. Robot is sometimes heralded as "the next Breaking Bad" and for good reason. It's a tense, dark, complex serialized drama. The writing is excellent, with layered detail and loads of foreshadowing, with an unreliable narrator as our protagonist, and lots of unpredictable twists and turns (except for the main twist of season one, which is pretty obvious, actually. But everything ELSE is very unpredictable). The performances are incredible. Rami Malek does a star-making turn here, and they're going to be throwing movie roles and awards statues at him for the next few years, just wait and see. Christian Slater is always awesome, and always underappreciated, and he's great in his supporting role here. As this show goes on, the buzz around it is going to get louder, and hopefully it reaches the cultural phenomenon status that Breaking Bad did, because it certainly deserves it.

One of the best newer series
||Posted .A Hacker with a twisted side, a mega corporation named "Evil" and a rag tag team of underdogs looking to get even? Really? Pair this up with novella style story writing with contemporary American themes and a story that takes turns you won't predict; you've got one of the best shows to see of today. Sadly will be on its fourth and final season soon but perhaps all the more reason to buy this since you know it will be a shorter show than many. The show getting into hacker culture itself is intriguing enough for anyone as the topic is rarely presented in mainstream media or if it is, it is in passing and not a core theme. This show delivers and will remind you why a movie like "Hackers" still delivers.

An exciting TV series that delivers on many levels
||Posted .Season 1 we follow Elliot, the hero and center of the story, and though his vision the story extends out to the surrounding cast, he's the one we follow and he narrates the story for us. We enter his world as seen through his eyes, and it's easy to do so because he "created" this strange world. He invites us the viewers into it. Once we are there, we can relate to his awkward interactions. We see Elliot as a hero of sorts, a vigilante for social justice, but you also see the ways in which he's weak and is unreliable. As Elliot's fragile psychological issues unfold, they create a bizarre relationship between the audience watching, and the hero of our story. Issues of trust and reality must be considered while watching Elliot navigate through the strange world of Mr. Robot, Session 1.

I've Been Sleeping On This Show For Too Long
||Posted .This is basically my new favorite show. It took me a while to come around but that was because I had different expectations for the show when it initially debuted. Around that time, AMC debuted a robot show called "Humans" which I got into. I foolishly thought because of the title, "Mr. Robot", would have a similar premise. When I found out that it had to do with hacking, I was turned off a bit. It wasn't until the hype of the 2nd season that I finally decided that enough was enough. Best Buy had Season 1 on DVD for $9.99 for Black Friday so I purchased it. I instantly became hooked. This show is like a gumbo of House of Cards, Fight Club, Breaking Bad, Memento and with a lot of Pop references and a great soundtrack. Highly recommend it.

An amazing show you won't want to miss
||Posted .So you've been hearing about this show called Mr. Robot that isn't actually about robots, well don't let that get you down. This is actually a smartly scripted and amazingly casted show that really immerses you in the world of what being a computer hacker might be like, and serves as some of the best social commentary I've seen on TV in a long time. It deserves all the critical accolades it received, and is definitely worth your time and money. The Blu-ray video and audio quality of this release is also outstanding and definitely make it a joy to experience. Must own.

Thought provoking drama
||Posted .The story line of hactivism is very timely. It takes several episodes before you begin to understand certain aspects of the lead character. Is he autistic, crazy, split personality, bi-polar or what. The answer is much more complex. The evil corporation called Evil Corp has a logo that looks a lot like that of Enron (defunct corrupt company in Houston). That corporation and how it operates really makes you think. There is some nudity, some drug use, some bloody violence and considerable "bad words". Therefore, this show should be considered R rated not PG13. I am anxiously awaiting the 2nd season which airs summer 3016 on USA Network.

Excellent TV series!
||Posted .This is a great take on the world of computer hacking. It focuses well on how easy it can be for information warfare to be conducted and how vulnerable our digital information is and is not always secure. It focuses on life hacking as well, the main character, Elliott, being able to figure out the strengths and weaknesses in people, including himself. While the main plot line of hacking the big 'business' is a constant theme, there's enough plot twists and intrigue outside of the hacking to keep you wanting to see what happens next. Recommended.
