Customers are positive about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB VENTUS 3X OC's performance, cooling, and relatively small size for a 4080 card, with many praising its high FPS in games and excellent ray tracing capabilities. However, customers are negative about the high price point, and some have reported experiencing coil whine. Positive feedback also highlights the card's quiet operation and efficient power consumption. The overall experience is largely positive, despite the cost.

Very powerful, power efficient card that undervolts well. Unfortunately poor value compared to things like the 4090, which is also not a great value. I purchased this over the 4090 because I did not want to deal with connector issues, poor undervolting, and the difference between the two paid for a new 4k 144Hz monitor. Does 4k gaming at 100FPS no upscaling in most games, with most modern games reaching 100+fps with DLSS/upscaling. I would not recommend purchasing this card unless you use 2k 144Hz or 4K 144Hz, and have a 5800X3D or better. AV1/NVENC is nice if you record, stream, or screenshare a lot. Raytracing performance is powerful enough to use in basically every title. Undervolts nicely, coming in around 250W max load, with most games only pushing 175-200W power draw. Very cool card, both because the cooler is overbuilt, and the undervolt, never breaking 75C core / 85C hotspot.

While this was rather obscenely expensive, you do get a pretty incredible card capable of running basically any AAA game in maxed out settings on 1440p and many of them in 4K as well. I had originally purchased an RX 6950XT and thought I was smart to save the cash, but ended up instantly regretting the decision when I fired up the system and it had the worst coil whine from any card I have ever owned. I immediately ordered this 4080 and I can say it is 100% free of any audible coil whine (and I have a mesh case sitting right by my monitor on my desk). It's incredibly quiet, performs amazingly, and even though its fairly huge it still fits just right in my Fractal Meshify 2 Compact case. The 3-1 power adapter cable is a little clunky and smashes up against the glass of my case, but it works.

upgraded from a 3070. This gen of NVIDIA is good but not great. The price is a bit much. And if you don't like RGB then this is a great pick up. For the price MSI could have at least included a little bit of RGB. As far as performance, my computer crashed a lot at first due to the GPU drivers having been corrupted after installing them fresh as well as over heating. They set up an auto fan run when the temps hit a certain degree, however by the time the fans kick in it is a bit late and it would crash. Had to do a work around in the BIOS to turn the GPU fan off of auto and set it to run at all times and to ramp up when under a heavy load. Overall not bad but still disappointed in NVIDA price hikes. Would have gotten an EVGA but they no longer make GPUs for NVIDA which is a big RIP.
