The $30 price tag may scare some off, but there is no better deal in gaming - particularly for physical console games. The 20% discount on all new games means you will only need to buy 2-3 games over the course of two years to come out ahead. Membership also frequently awards $10 bonus credits with many pre-orders (on top of the 20% discount), so $60 games quickly become $38 games - on release day no less! Unfortunately, the discount is not extended to digital games. That certainly would have been an excellent perk to have, but discounts on digital copies of PS4 and Xbox One games are hard to come by anywhere at this point so it's not a surprising exception.

They had a promotion for this during the 2014 holiday season when I purchased it but I believe that the price for this has been permanently reduced to 30.00 dollars. It's a great deal because if you purchase a lot of video games and interactive figures such as Skylanders, Disney Infinity or Nintendo amiibo you can save an additional 20%. As of this writing (a bit over half a year) Best Buy Gamer's club unlocked has paid for itself 3 times over in savings. The membership itself lasts for 2 years before you have to purchase a renewal.

If you are planning on purchasing at least three new games within the next two years, look no further than this. The Gamers Club Unlocked deal basically saves you $12 on every new $60 game you buy, so it pays itself off with three games. You can use this deal with the same game twice, so you can offer to buy the same game for a friend and still save money again. Also, you save 10% on any used games. It's a great deal that I've been taking advantage of myself. I highly recommend this.
