I bought this after hearing it on-line through a reference from Diana Krall, and am very glad I found it. She has an amazing story an a wonderful smooth sound to her vocals.

After being hit by a car while riding her bicycle a couple of years ago, Melody Gardot suffered multiple fractures, spinal, nerve and head injuries. Her doctor suggested she try music therapy as a means for recovery. It is astounding to think that had it not been for that accident we might never have had the chance to hear her sing… Her sultry voice, her soft and soothing music with elements of Jazz and Blues will surely do wonders for your spirit and undoubtedly be like therapy for your soul.

Melody Gardot is a great find. The vocals and instrumentals are amazing. All of the tracks are inspiring and relaxing. I would recommend this cd to everyone. There is a retro feeling to the music, though it is contemporary as well. Check her out, she's great.
