Not Quite Ready For Prime Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After hours and hours of research, I chose the Soundwafe Pro because of the rave reviews about sound quality and unmatched support. While I can attest it does indeed sound good, my experience with customer support is not impressive. I have the Nak connected to a new LG OLED using hdmi on the ARC port. I can control the volume and the unit turns off with the tv remote, but when turning on the tv, the Nak does not turn on. I've tried everything possible with the CEC settings and it simply won't work. I've sent two emails to the Nakamichi help desk with only a canned reply that a technician had been assigned to my case. Having to use the remote to turn the thing on is unacceptable to me and I'll be returning it. Very disappointing! I really wanted this sound bar. Thank goodness Best Buy has such a great return policy!

Perfect for my needs!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not want wires and the thought of setting up my old surround sound with the bigger speakers made me shutter. I shopped for sound bar solutions and tried the Klipsch first. Sounded awesome, but didn't have surround sound. Tried Vizio and it sounded good, but seemed that the surround didn't sound right to me. So I tried this Nakamichi and absolutely love the smooth highs, stable mid range and enveloping bass that really connects me with the movies I watch and music I listen to. Setup was super easy! I updated the firmware which is easy to do by following the online directions. If you need help, contact Nakamichi and they will be assuring that you are happy with the their product. Has a nice wide soundstage and works great with my new Sony tv! Give it a shot!!!

The closest you can get to 7.1 from a soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Subwoofer oozes out plenty of bass, great surround sound when you watch movies or play video games. Took off a star due to confusing display which only shows white dots.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my second soundbar purchase. I went with the VIZIO - SmartCast™ 5.1-Channel Soundbar System with 6" Wireless Subwoofer the first round and the subwoofer was just too loud and you cannot turn it down. That and the wireless surround sound speakers kept disconnecting. My living room is fairly small so the sub can overpower it. I love the Nakamichi so far. The sound is clear and fantastic. The sub can be adjusted down and even on level 1 it makes movies sound great with the surround sound. If I had to pick a few flaws the speaker bar is a tad tall. My Samsung TV sits on a console not mounted and the soundbar comes above the base of it but it looks fine. I haven't been able to figure out how to make my smart TV remote connect with this soundbar so for now I have 2 remotes. One for the speakers and one for my TV. Otherwise this is worth the money. Great sound and look. Easy set up.

Way worth the money!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent surround sound system for the money! In my opinion, the slight negative reviews for this product are very nit picky. The sound quality is EXCELLENT! The 7.1 does show its’ true colors. You can hear sounds projected to the sides from the sound bar to create a solid movie experience. Excellent for sports as well. The bass is dialed in and perfectly punchy with quality depth, without distortion. For $500, this surround sound packs a ridiculously awesome punch. By far, the most bang for your buck in this price range...no doubt!

Good purchase!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is very good for a soundbar. The only complaint I have is that it does not have an on screen display for the remote. Very hard to tell volume level, the base, treble, sound mode settings. Given this drawback, I would still suggest buying this system.

Great surround Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I compare with my old Samsung home theater Nakamichi is far far better. I got a good Surround experience.Subwoofer is also great. One thing I disappointed is it won’t connect with iPhone Bluetooth sometimes.

Good Surround for the price
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly overall this was a good sound bar, It does has good sound,it’s does have a very good bass, could be stronger On midrange I wished that the rear speakers are wireless. The remote control could. Be better you actually have to point straight to the device a close distance to make it work ( even with new batteries) Other than that is cool no complaints for $500.00.

Q: QuestionAre the satellite speakers totally wireless?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The satellite speakers use a standard RCA connection to the wireless subwoofer. The subwoofer needs to be plugged to a wall socket for power, but communicates wirelessly with the main soundbar unit so you do not have to run any wire across your living room.
