From an Apple guy...LOVE THIS!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think they are asleep at the wheel in Cupertino, CA (Apple's headquarters) - This thing is AWESOME! Even my wife loves it - She uses it to follow along with recipes. It's hooked up to my NEST cams, thermostat, Roomba vacuum, Hue lights - Wow! I like this so much that I ended up getting another to place next to the couch..Mainly for the doorbell feature, and then a Google Home Mini. Sound quality is good enough. You can turn up the bass in the app, but trust me, you're not getting bass...Just a bit better sound, but I can live with it - It's not terrible quality and definitely good enough for the kitchen. My favorite feature is when the doorbell rings - It immediately switches to the doorbell feed and if it knows there person it also announces their names. I have this synced to Pandora and it plays music perfectly. As I mentioned, I'm a huge Apple person, but this kills Siri - The Google assistant knows so much - My wife and I were testing Siri / Google and Siri just cannot get basic things correct. I'm replacing my HomePod and getting Google's speaker (Home Max) instead, since Siri is a massive paper weight that does nothing but play music. Oh, coolest feature, you can have up to 6 users AND IT RECOGNIZES THEIR VOICE!!! So what's cool is in the morning is shows your route to work and what's on your calendar - I love that - Was simply to export my iCal to Google. BUY IT! You'll love it! P.S. Apple, you have a lot of catching up to do - WAKE UP!

A Solid Alternative to the Google Home Speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Google Home Speaker and really enjoy the amenities it has and all the smart home functions it provides. I decided to try out the Google Home Hub as I thought having a screen would really improve my experience and overall I am very happy with the experience! I'm not going to talk about all the features that a Google Assistant has but rather what makes the Google Home Hub different: PROS: - First impression out of the box is that it's really not big at all! Takes up very minimal space on a counter or table and the screen is not much bigger than a smartphone. I like this style - I want it to feel out of the way and just apart of the room rather than a big eye sore. That being said, it does stand out! The screen is clean and crisp and the overall style is simple and modern. - Set-up was really easy with the Google Home App. The Hub then shows a brief video on how to use it and it's easy. - A debated choice Google made was not putting a Camera on this Home Hub and I am perfectly fine with it! If I ever want to video chat I would rather use a phone, tablet, or computer which is much more versatile than a stationary smart display. Plus I like that I don't have to be worried on the camera being hacked. - The display is very useful! You can change the settings to display a clock, pictures that Google hand picks, or pictures directly from your phone. When asking the Hub questions, it's just a nice feature to have the results pop up on the screen. Showing your drive in, what music is playing, what the score of the game is, or even brings up YouTube videos of what you want to see. If you are a visual learner it just really hammers home the point. - The quick options on the screen you can tab are nice. That way you can change the lights or the temperature with the tab of the screen if you want to control it that way. CONS: - I think the trade off between the $150 Google Home Speaker and the $150 Google Home Hub is speaker quality vs having a screen. The Home Speaker has better sound even though it's nothing spectacular. The Home Hub still has a nice sound but it definitely is not as good as the Home Speaker but I like the option of having the screen better. Also for $150 for either Smart device, I would not expect amazing sound compared to the $300+ competitors out there. - As of this reviews, Google does not have support for any video apps besides YouTube or YouTube TV and a few others. This is disappointing given Google's flexibility in the past. I just think the Hub has huge potential in being your kitchen media center where you can watch live news or Netflix while cooking, etc. - A lot of the device's settings can only be change through the Google Home App. You would think with a screen they would give you more options to adjust settings from the device itself. BOTTOM LINE: The Google Home Hub is a well priced Smart Display that adds another dimension to your Google Home Speakers. If you like your current Google Speaker or are wanting a Google Smart Speaker with some extra benefits of having a display - this is a great purchase and will be a welcomed addition to your home!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely LOVE my Nest Hub 7" Smart Display! I have 3 of them. One in my room, one in the kitchen, and one in the living room. I decided to go with the smaller version of the Smart Hub because I have a Google Max Speaker in every room I have a Nest Hub in. There is no display that can match the sound of a Google Max Speaker, so it made sense to get the smaller hub, instead of the Hub Max. I am always watching YouTube videos so it's nice to just cast from my Note 20 Ultra to one of the displays. It's much more enjoyable to watch YouTube on a 7" screen than the screen on my phone and the sound is much more rich and full. Sometimes, when it's late and I don't want to use my voice to control my smart-lights, i just tap on the screen and control my devices from the display. It's also nice that they are part of my home speaker group and it displays the song that is playing and I'm able to control the song selection and volume selections on all speakers without using my voice and changing one by one. You can even personalize it with your own picture slide show that pulls from your google photos account or select the different clock options available to have as your main display. All in all this product has come in handy and I'm very pleased. I did get it while it was on sale during Black Friday. Not sure how much they were, at the time, but it was reasonable enough for me to buy 3 of them and I'm glad I did! Oh, one more thing, it doesn't have a camera. I knew this going in and it was another reason why I opted for this smaller version. Since I have one of these in my bedroom, I didn't need a camera looking at all my business. So, with that being said, if you want something that has a camera, this is not the product. But, if you want a smart display that doesn't have a camera, this is the one to get.

Nifty little thing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably one of the best little “investments” I have ever made. Most have bought this to put on their bedside table or their kitchen. But it was a little different for me. The purpose and the intent of this product for me was mainly to help assist in getting me out the door faster. So, instead I set mine up in the bathroom; where I mostly spend my time in the mornings getting ready for work. I love listening to music when I prepare for the day mainly because it helps me stay focused. And just before I jump into the shower I say, “hey google, play (fill in the blank) by (so & so).” Therefore while I am moving around, I am still able to multitask and not have to pause from what I am doing just to pick up a device to type/connect something. Then, while I am in the shower I can ask it to tell me what the weather is like and how long it will take me to get to work and so forth. It’s just a really helpful device especially for us busy bodies.

Google Home: The Smart-er Display
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much debate about which type of smart home we'd like to be, we settled on being Googlers. Without a doubt, Amazon provides a series of terrific devices with their various Echo offerings; however, after deciding what we planned to use the devices for (e.g., searching, answering questions, playing how-to videos, gathering recipes, viewing our daily schedules, weather information, and listening to music) we settled on the superior information company: Google. We have four Google Home Minis and two Google Home Hubs (so far), and as expected, the devices and their robust functionality fit perfectly into our routines and truly enhance our lives. We no longer have to reach for an iPhone when a need for information arises. Now we merely speak to our Assistant, and quickly and easily, the information is retrieved and often sent to our phones for later review. As expected from Google, the world's greatest data and information company, it seems every day our Assistant gets more intelligent and adds more useful functionality to enhance our lives. We use our two Google Smart Hubs in the kitchen, the most high-traffic room in the house, and the master bedroom as the smartest alarm clock we could have ever imagined and as a replacement to our Bose Wave radio. We are also happy that these devices do not have a built-in camera like the Lenovo Smart Display, as there is never a concern for our privacy. We also love the ability to view and control our various Nest devices via the display, as we've found Nest to be the best smart doorbell and camera system for our needs. Hey Google, you rock!

Great starter to a smart house!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It smoothly integrates itself with my other products with smart capabilities. Attaching it to the Google home app was super easy. The picture on the screen is great. When not in use you can use it as a digital clock or picture frame. (My favorite is the clock that displays "five oh clock" which I thought was fun. Controlling the house hasn't been easier with a quick down swipe you can adjust everything super easily.

I love this thing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to buy the Amazon Show 5 but when I compared it to the Google Nest, I was more interested in the Nest then the echo. I have had it for more than an month and i love using it! It has a display screen that you can watch Youtube, Disney+, Hulu and more! The mic is really sensitive so, make sure you mute when you want it to pick up on your voice, also it recognize your voice and only follows your orders.

Q: QuestionDebating between getting another Google Home or Google Hub. Does one have better sound quality for music, than the other?
Asked by GadgetGirl.
- A:Answer The Google Home has significantly better sound. The Google home hub, while it does have a speaker, isn't meant to be one. It's essentially a smart display with the Google assistant.

Q: QuestionIf you use this for googling a recipe will the recipe stay on the screen so you can use it like having a cookbook open and prepare it without screen going black and having to keep refresh it?
Asked by 1968.
- A:Answer Yes it does! I find it better for recipes than going to the websites on your phone since those recipe sites are so full of clutter and ingredients "on sale" near you. The home hub automagically strips all that away and just gives you the recipe. An unexpected benefit.

Q: QuestionWhen displaying Google Photos, can you choose to have them shown randomly? Will is show all photos? Or do you need to specify albums? Also, can you connect multiple Google accounts to display photos from multiple family members? Thanks!
Asked by mmklinemm.
- A:Answer Yes to all answers except it will not show all photos. When setting up the hub you can choose persons places and things for it to choose from. Currently I chose mine to display pictures that contain my son and wife and Google will show pictures that they are recognized in. It will also weed out the not so good pictures; ie blurry or poor images.
