I've been wanting a Samsung Galaxy phone, but couldn't see paying $400 plus for one. After dropping my old cell by accident and having it get wet and not recover, I HAD to go purchase a new phone immediately because of an elderly family member that has to be able to reach me. I knew my wallet would take a hit. Then I found the Samsung Core Prime. Great Samsung quality - the phone is fast, the screen display is nice. Phone size is great, not so large I feel like I'm carrying a reader and I can still fit it in my pocket. Great price for what you get. And it was available in the store, no waiting on ordering online.

Phone is pretty easy to set up and costs less than purchasing through a plan like Verizon or AT&T directly. Speed is good, call reception and clarity is good.

First, I want to thank two great people at Best Buy in Encinitas, CA: the sales rep who recommended the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and the sales associate who suggested a one year protection plan for the phone after hearing of the mishap that forced me to replace my old LG phone. I've owned the Galaxy Core Prime since early December and so far it's been a great upgrade over the $20 drugstore special it replaced. 4G coverage is great throughout most of the area (San Diego and coastal north SD county), call quality is much improved and I can actually multitask on this phone. The only downsides I've encountered so far: the touch screen responsiveness is inconsistent, sometimes you have to tap more than once to get a response, other times it can be overly sensitive...and the rear-facing camera let me down when I tried to get a decent shot of the full moon over San Diego. Overall I'm very happy with the phone and glad I listened to the great Best Buy sales team in Encinitas.
