- A: AnswerYes! My guest house is 300 feet away from my main house. You simply have to put the wifi in the next room. My modem is in the basement and the extenders in the main bedrrom next to it. Works perfectly!

- A: AnswerYou would need to initially put it by their router and have it connect. Second step is to place it halfway to where you ultimately want it placed and connect it again so it knows where to follow the signal. Finally, you can place it at your place where you get even a weak signal and it will boost it for you and strengthen the signal you're getting.

- A: AnswerSimon - not sure if this answer is too late, but if I remember correctly, the fellow at Best Buy where I purchased my 6150 stated that the power was the same - the primary difference was number of ports and maybe some other perk that I cannot remember. I was looking for the most power possible because of the location of my only Ethernet access (in the basement corner of a three level home), so I'm pretty certain I would have gotten the 6200 if there was a great power difference. Hope this helps.

A: AnswerI am not a technician. Just a simple user. I plugged it in and it picked up every network in a two block area so I don't think the router has anything to do with it. It was idiot proof to install. I would highly recommend this product.Answered by kenwlund

Just what I needed
WFH, my work computer can only be connected to the Internet by ethernet cable. I needed a very long ethernet cable to reach my home router and it would have had to ran cable along the wall or ceiling. This device was perfect for the purpose I needed. I plugged it into a wall plug in the room I'm working from and connected it to the home wifi. I was able to plug into the Ethernet of this device from my work computer. Speed is pretty good.
