Q: QuestionIs this compatible with Xfinity service?
Asked by OMally.
- A:Answer The short answer, Yes. But you will need a Xfinity compatible Modem to receive your service, as this is only a Router and not a Router/Modem combo which is what Xfinity normally provides with your service. I would suggest checking for approved modems on Xfinity my Device Info site.

Q: QuestionWill this work with Verizon fios?
Asked by gioia.
- A:Answer Be careful with FiOS. I have FiOS that was installed previous to 2016 and before that year they used MoCA for their internet cable services. Issue being the router that verizon gives you for that has a coax cable input and this router does not have that coax input. However, they do make MoCA adapters you can buy which are about $50-$60 if you need to. It works excellent once its running though. Internet speed is three times what it was with the verizon router.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this router AC2400 and the AC2300...? I got both but the AC2400 was $100 less on sale should I return the AC2300?
Asked by Ernyx.
- A:Answer The main difference is in the theoretical maximum data rate of the WiFi. AC2400 = 1733 + 600 Mbps where as AC2300 = 1625 + 600Mbps. These are the maximum speeds that can be achieved on the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, respectively. If looking at the total speed of both, the AC2400 is the better of the two. But in reality, both are very similar routers.

Q: QuestionDoes this work with a At&T modem?
Asked by ATTCompatible.
- A:Answer Yes. You can do it 2 ways. You can do a double NAT, which is more difficult, or you can putit in access point mode, which would be your best/easiest option. That way your existing router will handle giving out IP addresses (DHCP) and routing functions.

Q: QuestionHow is the connection strength with this router when gaming I like to have a wired connection when playing online but according to the stats the wired connection is slower than wireless? Is this actually the case and is this worth purchasing for gaming?
Asked by Gunder16.
- A:Answer The stats can be misleading due to the nature of a wired connection versus wireless. One has to remember that a wired connection does not have to deal w/ any interfernce (i.e. other WIFI devices, other WIFI routers, obstructions, etc) that could affect the total throughput; also, distance from the WIFI router affects strength/speed. To keep it brief, get full 1000Mb (1Gig) all the time whereas WIFI could fluctuate (another issue that could affect latency & speed). Also, to get the 2400Mb throughput you have to ensure that the laptop/wifi network card FULLY supports that standard to get maximum benefit. I hope this helps and have a blessed Thanksgiving!
