After some of his favorite exhibits from New York's Natural History Museum are shipped to the Smithsonian, Larry receives a distress call from miniature cowboy Jedediah. It seems the Egyptian ruler Kahmunrah and a trio of historical baddies, including Ivan the Terrible, Napoleon and Al Capone, have hatched a plot to take over the museum, and then the world.
