Great watch for running!
|Posted .I bought this watch to run and if that is what you want it for then you will be quite happy. I wish it would track my walking and swimming as well but that isn't the reason I got it. It is more accurate than the nike app on the iPhone. The iPhone app is almost always several hundred yards wrong every mile you run. It adds up.

Does what it's supposed to
|Posted .I purchased this to track my outdoor runs, and it performs as expected. It's not the most sophisticated GPS watch on the market, but for my needs as a beginning runner, the functions and price point are just right. It is a bit bulky on the wrist, but battery life and the overall aesthetic are great, so it's a reasonable trade-off.

Great sport watch for runners
|Posted .I had one for myself and I loved it, had to get one for my boyfriend. I really like how it links to the app to my phone, once I upload my runs into my computer.

Simplicity is Nice!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIn a day and age of a multitude of gadgets, this watch simply works- and works simply. I bought this watch when my beloved but ugly Garmin GPS watch stopped working. I was afraid this watch would not do all of the things the Garmin did. I was right, but now after using it for a while, I don't really miss the features I don't have anymore. And- I wear it all the time & actually get comments about its style- something I NEVER got from the Garmin. (I also never dared to wear it outside a run.) The simplicity of this watch allows you to run freely, without constantly getting b-bopped at, to "hey! Look down & see your stats!" Start up is a breeze. Press one button a few times and viola! the sensors are linking up to the satellites to initiate the GPS. The best part is it seems to link faster the more you do it. While running, you are shown two statistics; one larger, at the bottom 2/3rds of the screen & the other shown smaller at the top. During a run, you can scroll through the statistics, like pace, time elapsed, calorie burn, and total distance in the smaller display. After you quit your run, you get an encouraging little message of some sort, which is kind of nice. The Nike interface on the web is also really cool. Besides just logging your runs, you can add information, like which shoes you used so you can easily track when you'll need a new pair. One feature I might enjoy is an option to track walks separately from runs. Currently, any activity you do is seen as a run in the system. So, for example, if you take a walk and want to know your calorie burn, you'll inadvertently affect your overall pace on Nike.com when you load the "run" into your database. Another improvement I would like to see is to include the Heart Rate strap with the watch purchase. I still haven't got the heart rate strap (nor the foot pod) for this watch and I do miss that feature. One thing my Garman did that I wish this one did is to tell me when my heart rate gets too high with a little beep. Maybe once I get the strap that will be a feature available to me? The ANT heart rate strap I used with my Garmin sadly does not get along with the Nike watch. PS, I got the white one, and I love it!

Great distance runners who don't like to repeat.
|Posted .I bought this to allow me to track my miles as I worked on training for some upcoming half and full Marathons. After using it for a few workouts, I don't train without it, The good: It is nice and light and once properly fitted, doesn't shift, no matter how rough the terrain I run through. I bought the version with the shoe pod, but have as of yet to use it, A great feature is that is displays both your pace and your mileage at a glance. This is useful for ensuring that you are staying on your goals. I use it often to track when I begin to fade or how far I slow down on hills or speed up on a downhill. One of the biggest things you gain with this is that it will sync with the Nike+ website. The watch syncs, and charges, via a USB connection hidden in the band. This sync requires a PC or Mac to handle uploading the data. The sync process also updates the GPS offset data. Once you data is in Nike+, you can also crosslink you account to other tracking sites, like MapMyRun. Now some of the bad: I do a lot of my running at night. The watch will backlight, but it requires a failry healthy slap to turn it on. This can be awkward while running, as you either need to smack it off thigh , or reach across yourself. This is really geared toward being a GPS watch. The stopwatch features are kinda hard to use and are not a full featured as most other options. Not really a gating issue, but can still be annoying. Last issue is that the GPS doesn't always lock quickly. Sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes to lock enough to allow you to start your run. A few times it hasn't locked at all, even with a full clear view of the sky. In these cases, waiting 10-15 and trying again usually cleared the issues. All in all this was well work the money. It does have some flaws, but none that are so bad that would prevent you from purchasing.

Great for tracking your runs...
|Posted .Very easy and simple to use while running. I use it on every run. It gives me my distance and my pace which is what I wanted from a watch. Once you connect it to your computer it uploads everything to your Nike+ account. You get a great detailed map of your run with the elevation and the mileage. It also gives you a summary of your overall mileage (wkly, mthly, yearly) and helps you track your progress. Only thing I would change is the band. I wish I had the option of buying a smaller wrist band... I have ridiculously small wrists (5") and I am unable to adjust it down small enough to fit the way I would like it to. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase - wouldn't run without it.
