      Sharp pictures

I bought this lens last year as an introduction lens for macro photography and to give me something to play with around the lawn and garden. It has crisp pictures but I find focusing to be a little touchy. I'm having to learn to be a little more patient with Macro photography as getting depth of field seems to tougher than with landscape photography. Overall a great lens but wish I'd have purchased one with a little longer reach. This lens requires you to get VERY close to your subject.

I couldn't wait to try this lens,so i attached a few examples, it takes some getting use to, but well woth the money, you have to start off farther away and slowly move in until the desired picture is in focus. But over all it is a great lens and will help you accomplish what you are looking for in the macro field. This is only the beginning and i have a whole world to explore with it.

I love this lens-it is my favorite, thus far!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful macro or micro lens, and it is also wonderful for portraits. However, do not be fooled by the "VR" that Best Buy has added to the description...it's not there. Not that it is needed, but buyer beware.

Lightweight lens, sharp, low/no distortion, at a bargain price. This is my walk around lens, sharp as a 50mm normal lens without distortion - another advantage is the 10mm of extra reach and its close focus capability is useful for copy work or an occasional close-up.

I needed a good lens for close ups and this lens is it. I have never had a lens that was this sharp. If you like to take very close photos this is the lens for you.

The macro features are wonderfully sharp and decent DOF. Use a tripod! This is really a nice standard lens. The contrast and color are very good (on a full frame body, D610) and sharp corner to corner.

Enjoying every minute using this lens. I didn't think it would be a heavy lens considering its dimensions so I'd suggest using a tripod. Watch out bugs...here I come!!!!

I'm still playing around with it. I haven't used it that much as it has yet to really "wow" me but it's a decent lens. I think to just need to work on figuring out the sweet spot for it.
