Cool little camera!!
Posted .Cool little camera. Easy to use with quality pics. Has some neat features like panoramic assist and panorama stitching software. Processes at a decent speed. Solid design. Little rubber tab over usb/chg. hard to open unless you have finger nails... Nonetheless this is a great little camera and I would recommend it to anybody!! I would also recommend the extended Black Tie Coverage - because it is a little camera perfect for "fun adventures".... even if you drop it!!! Need I say more?

Great camera for taking on trips or around town.
Posted .I purchased the Nikon Coolpix because I wanted and needed a camera with a great lens quality, light-weight, reliable and easy to use. As a professional photographer, I am very specific for what I'm looking for ... Nikon all the way, great LCD screen, and top quality for the price! Would purchase another for friend or family.

100% worth it
Posted .This 12-megapixel camera takes brilliant pictures with vibrant colors. It's loaded with tons of great features, and you can find a setting for almost every lighting situation you are dealing with. Great for non-professionals who still want to capture amazing pictures!

Third time a charm?
Posted .Where to begin... In Dec. '09 I gave my Sony Cybershot of an older molder that I had purchased years ago to my mom for her birthday/Christmas present. This was weeks before I found out that I was pregnant. I gave it to her because I figured I would just use my, at the time, fiancee's digital camera. (He is now my husband.) I figured that was all fine and dandy until recently when I delivered my son. So suffice to say, it was time for me to start looking for my own camera again. Because yeah, I'm not going to take back a gift from my mom who just loves taking pictures of her other grandkids. I did my research, or so I thought. I wanted just a few basic features. My main one being a date stamp, with or without time was fine with me, but it definitely needed to have the date stamp option. I also needed it to have what I call a "shake stabilization" feature. Cause let's face it, no one has perfectly steady hands. And I wanted to buy something for a relatively decent price. So ok, I went and got what I will call camera A. It was ok and all, had the date/time stamp feature, and took pretty good pictures, if I was holding it as still as possible. A symbol would appear that meant that shaking motion was detected, but did nothing to stabilize it. So I ended up with a few blurry shots. So I read over the manuals and such and that feature wasn't included. You would think with all the other bells and whistles it had to take pictures with, you would think it would include that to insure a perfect picture. So back to the store for what I will call, camera B. I, again, thought I had done my research. So I purchased it and got it home. First thing I did was check for the two basic features that I was wanting. Didn't have the date/time stamp. So, back to the store for this camera, the Nikon CoolPix S3000. So far, so good. I've read all the reviews here on this site. I have found a way for a "forced flash" so that it goes off with each shot. It goes off in all kinds of dim "indoor" light on auto flash. I took two pictures of my husband and son with just the kitchen stove light on and tv on as to create very dim light and it came out great. Then I took a few pictures in my bedroom with the ceiling light and tv on, again, flash went off and it came out great. I've only had the camera for a few hours, but so far, it's been working properly, and taking really great pictures. As a new mom, I want to capture as many memorable moments of my son as I can. Track his growth, capture that first real big smile, first step, etc. You get the idea. I fully plan to take advantage of the 14 day trial period to fully test the features and functions of this camera. I still believe in being able to get a good quality product for a decent price. I'll be reporting back with any problems I experience. I will say that the Best Buy employees who have helped me, have been very kind, sincere, but mostly understanding. So I'd like to give a big thanks to Best Buy and it's hard working employees.

Great picture quality
Posted .I love the quality of all the photos. Unlike my friend's photos, my photos come out clear and sharp. Also, it is very sleek. You can hold on to it with its wristlet. Overall, I'm very happy with this camera.

Picture quality could be better
Posted .What I like is that it is compact and easy to carry in my purse so I can shoot pictures whenever. I have been having some picture quality issues though. Maybe that will improve as I learn about the features. I am a little disappointed. I hate that when I use a SD card to download my pictures it downloads an additional file that my antivirus software considers a virus.

GREAT PRODUCT AT GREAT PRICE
Posted .I absolutely love my new camera. It took me awhile to get used to all of the features but I have finally mastered them. It is so superior to my old one that died after 1 year. I love the big LED screen. It makes it so easy to get great shots. I recommend this one to all.

Q: QuestionHow many photos with standard memory card
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Depends on the size and quality of pics that you are shooting and that is determined in the settings under the menu option (I believe) - it also depends what you mean by "standard" memory card. I would use nothing less than a 4GB card, and I shoot with an 8GB card in mine on the highest quality setting - I think I've gotten over 200 photos at least - remember video takes up more space on the card than do pics.
