A stellar full frame DSLR for the price

|Posted .Pros mentioned:Full frame, Iso, Low lightCons mentioned:AppsResearch and come to your own conclusions as far as needs, wants and budget. There is nothing that I can say that has not already been said...this is a fine piece of art and technology. I made the jump from DX to FX and have had it only for a couple of weeks. My conclusion is that this camera is a monster for its price point. It has fantastic dynamic range and sharpness. Low light performance is great. The D750's features, performance and price are unique in the Nikon FX lineup. Extremely happy with it so far. Pros: Smaller size and less weight when compared to Nikon’s higher end FX bodies. Great low light performance. Images stay clean up to about 6400 ISO in most circumstances. You can see in the dark if you have to. The custom user settings (U1 & U2) are a godsend. It has a titling rear display that can come in handy with odd angles. Price vs performance feature set ratio might be the best in the market. Auto focus is accurate and fast. Cons (Notice that all but one of the issues below have nothing to do with taking a good photo!): AF area is bunched up towards the middle of the sensor and does not reach the outer edges of the frame. Has wireless but you can’t do much with it. The Nikon WMA app is pretty limited. No onboard geotagging. Not a huge issue if you do something off camera like Geotag Photos Pro on a smartphone. I don’t care for the Nikon GPS solution as its a pain to sync and is a battery killer. Video is 1080P at best which means either now or down the road you might want something with 4K capabilities. Shutter is pretty loud regardless of what mode you set it in. The reviews are right, this is a stellar camera.

Surpassed my expectations!
Surpassed my expectations!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Iso, Picture qualityCons mentioned:Frames per secondI am professional photographer who mainly shoots events. I have shot with the D40, D3000, D90, D700 and D800. The D800 is an amazing camera but moody. Along comes the D750, billed as an "Action" camera. When I heard that it was only 6.5FPS, I was sorely disappointed and was very critical of Nikon. However, after reading a review by a world class wedding photographer about the D750. I decided that this was the camera I needed to work alongside the D800 at events. After using the camera for 3 weeks, I have to say that I am completely floored. The problem, that I feel guilty about, is that I am not picking up my D800 anymore. Pros I can say this enough...the autofocus beats the D700, D800, D7100. I was able to shoot some volleyball shots that came out clearly at ISO 10000, and 90% of the shots were keepers even when blindly shooting at the action. It also focuses quickly in low light..one of 2 main reasons for purchasing this camera. Autofocus - on Area mode auto...which means the camera picks the focal point. Amazing!!! It automatically focuses on the eyes. This means that when shooting portrait shots, you are able to shoot continuously freely which results in better candid shots. Low Noise! - I shoot at ISO 10800 with no fear. This is a game changer for me allowing me to shoot more creatively without having to focus and recompose. WIFI - love the fact that I can post photos to social media while out in the field. Transfer is fast and effortless on my Note 4. See image of Heron. Cons FPS - I would have liked more than 6FPS on this latest camera from Nikon. Still this did not prevent me from getting great bird shots..see image. Grip - does not increase FPS.

Q: QuestionWill my D3200 lenses fit my new D750 with any problems? Thank you
Asked by Firemedic28
- A:Answer The Nikon D750 DSLR camera is fully compatible with AI, AF, AF-S and E-type lenses and has a limited compatibility with AF-P type lenses. So, if you were using those types of lenses with the D3200 they will be compatible with the Nikon D750. Keep in mind, however, if you use DX-format optimized lenses with the Nikon D750 there will be an automatic crop factor of 1.5, as this FX-format camera uses a full frame sensor. To learn more about lens compatibility please contact Nikon Support.

Q: QuestionHi Will the lens from my D5000 fit the D750 Thx
Asked by BR20
- A:Answer Whether or not your lens will work depends entirely on the type of lens it is. The Nikon D750 is fully compatible with and will fit type G, E, or D AF, AF-S, and AF-I lenses. AF-P type lenses may be compatible with a firmware update however functionality may be limited. You will also want to note whether your lens is a DX or FX format lens. When a DX lens is used on an FX body such as the D750, vignetting can occur due to the smaller frame. To counter this, you will want to select On for Image area > Auto DX crop in the shooting menu. For more detailed information on lens compatibility, please contact Nikon Support.
