I like to collect amiibos and I'm glad that it got re-released at Best Buy because I can take advantage of My Gamer's Club rewards benefits and get 20% off when I purchase games and some accessories. The only difference between this release and the first print is that this version has the paper cup on the bottom to prevent the figure from being read/written while inside the box.

Good job, Nintendo. After setting up a demographic of compulsive collectors and incentivizing 100% over most of your games from Mario to Zelda, you go ahead and make multiple versions of the SAME amiibo. There are three of these - Gold, Silver, and color, one original first wave mario, a doctor mario, two anniversary marios - and you know our crazy selves will compulsively buy them all ... because 100% or go home.

Love this little guy. a fun gift for a long time mario fan. high quality, very durable, the figure is well detailed and a nice decoration as well. works with nintendo wii U, new nintendo 3ds and the 3ds amiibo adapter that i forget the name of. the effect it has on the game varies per game. the box on the game will tell you if it has amiibo compatibility and you can google what character does what if it doesn't say.

I was thrilled to find this item at Best Buy! I had searched for it many other places with no luck. Best Buy had the item in stock and for a lower price than other stores....Plus Free Shipping! I was also very happy to have the choice of Pay Pal to make my payment! The shipment came exactly as estimated and I am a very happy customer!!

Seriously...whether it's the first series which I own also, and you don't want to know what I paid for it! Uuuuugh. Especially for just wanting it because I liked it! But you better believe I bought two this time! They're very cool! I own a ton of amiibos period! I use and collect them. The craftsmanship is 100%! Awesome!!

Gold Mario is back! Previously a very hard-to-find Walmart exclusive, this second run will look great on anyone's shelf. That said, it isn't so much a second run, the packaging is the same as the first run, showing only a Wii U on the back of the Box whereas newer amiibo have the New 3DS back there.

I enjoy the Amiibo from Nintendo. Whether you keep them in the box to display or take them out to use them for exclusive content in Wii and 3DS games, they make great collectables for Nintendo fans. This Gold Mario, which at one point was selling for over $100, is one of my favorites.

I've been trying to find this golden Mario amiibo for a while now and I was finally able to find it at Best Buy. It's absolutely beautiful and it goes perfectly with my golden Megaman. I highly recommend purchasing this great-looking golden Mario amiibo, even if it's just for display.
