Fast charging - Great quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had initially bought the non-charging grip and had no way to charge my joycons with just my Switch Lite. This is an absolute must buy they charge so quickly! Don't make the mistake of getting the Power A version as this one is much more comfortable

You won't really need it, but hey, more stuff
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a Switch for a while now, and I can honestly say that I've never had my Joycons die on me. I thought that the Joycon's lifespan would be similar to the Switch's but that wasn't the case at all. So here I am with an extra Joycon holding controller that charges them if you so wish to do that. I mean, if you have a couple of lads or gals just coming over, maybe they bring their Switches as well, then you got an extra controller for someone who isn't too fond of the Joycons. And, it charges too! So really, if you have a lot of friends, this is a good pick-up. Also #joyconboyz

I LOVE THIS GRIP
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I decided to get 2 extra Joy-con controllers I wasn't thrilled about having to buy a separate charger or switch them out with the 2 attached to the switch. This chargeable grip is my go to controller style for my switch now! Not only are all my controllers charged at all times I also have a super easy way to ergonomically use my extra controllers. I would recommend this again and again.

Works Perfectly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this because the joy cons are too small for my husband's hands. He's able to use the bigger controller much better now. Since we have 3 kids, we still have the option to break them apart so they can play. We still plan on purchasing the full size controller for him in the future so we can all play at the same time.

Nearly identical to one that came w switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is basically the same joycon holder that came with the switch, with the added bonus that you can charge the joycons as you play. I've never really had an issue with joycons running out of battery since I've always just plugged the ones I have back into the switch when I'm done (granted I only have the pair that came with the switch). It is mildly infuriating that this isn't the set that came with the switch from the start, but I guess that's another conversation. I can definitely see this coming in useful for people who have multiple sets of joycons and don't have a charging base for them!

Good accessory, not necessary
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First things first, this is a Nintendo product. This is a high quality grip that is easy to use and handy to have. I find using the grip w/ joy cons is a very acceptable controller that will not hinder the gaming experience. My only issue is that I feel having a charging grip isn't a necessary feature to have. The joy con's battery life lasts forever on their own. Even if you travel w/o having the ability to charge your switch - which in turn charges your grips - your joy cons will outlast the switch's charge by a country mile with no need for a charging grip to help out. To wrap this up, good accessory, but paying extra for a charging feature that will, in my case, never be utilized.

Q: QuestionDo I need thiz
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, you don't. The Switch comes with two (2) Joy Con controllers that charge when attached to the Switch console, while the console is in the charging dock. The Switch also comes with a non-powered grip you can attach the Joy Cons to - looks just like this one, except it doesn't have power. It just lets you use the two Joy Cons as a single controller. The charging grip just lets you charge the Joy Cons without having them be attached to the Switch console, and you can even have them charging with the cord while you're using them as a single controller. Also handy to charge additional Joy Cons simultaneously (if you have more than two).

Q: QuestionCan you use this without connection? In other words does it have to be plugged in while playing or is that option there only if you need charging?
Asked by WonderingMama.
- A:Answer Only needs to be plugged in to charge. Otherwise its wireless play. So far mine is great!

Q: QuestionHow long is the cord that comes with this? My switch is about 6 feet away from the couch and I don't know if the cord will reach to charge while playing...
Asked by Jocel.
- A:Answer The cord is 5 feet long. Having the same concern, I purchased a USB extension just in case. It doesn’t have to be plugged into the console though. I added a charging block to the end and I plug it into an outlet right next to me while sitting on the couch. Works great!

Q: QuestionSo, if this thing charges the joy cons while playing; how does the charging deck get it's charge?
Asked by MrsBernard.
- A:Answer The dock is plugged in to the AC outlet. This “thing” gets plugged to the dock via a USB-C cable (included in the box). So you can charge while playing and have the switch charge as well. To be honest though, I think the included cable is a bit short to play on tv while it’s recharging. It looks like it’s about 3ft long if not shorter. I would plan on using a usb extenders to do that!
