Fast charging - Great quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had initially bought the non-charging grip and had no way to charge my joycons with just my Switch Lite. This is an absolute must buy they charge so quickly! Don't make the mistake of getting the Power A version as this one is much more comfortable

You won't really need it, but hey, more stuff
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a Switch for a while now, and I can honestly say that I've never had my Joycons die on me. I thought that the Joycon's lifespan would be similar to the Switch's but that wasn't the case at all. So here I am with an extra Joycon holding controller that charges them if you so wish to do that. I mean, if you have a couple of lads or gals just coming over, maybe they bring their Switches as well, then you got an extra controller for someone who isn't too fond of the Joycons. And, it charges too! So really, if you have a lot of friends, this is a good pick-up. Also #joyconboyz

Useful for Multiple JoyCon Sets
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pleased with the controller grip due to its ease of use and clear plastic construction which is much more appealing to me than the solid black grip that comes standard with the Nintendo Switch console. I was worried that I would not have a USB-A to USB-C cable needed for charging the JoyCons in the grip as my other personal electronic devices are still back on USB-microB, but I was delighted to see that an A to C cable was included in the box (to both my and the BestBuy employees' surprise) even though the packaging does not indicate its inclusion AT ALL. If you like using the grip that comes with the Switch, and you want to be able to charge a second set of JoyCons in it, then you will like this product, like I do! I'm still not sure why the JoyCon grips come with a loop for attaching what I can only assume would be a wrist strap like the ones on the JoyCons since no strap is included with this grip or the one with the console, but it doesn't really make much difference to me.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's almost exactly the same as the one that came with the Switch, but it allows you to charge the controllers. No idea why Nintendo didn't just put this in originally, but hey, now they have more of my money, so who's the idiot? It does work great and I'd buy it again if it got lost

This is what should have been packed in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The charging grip lets you use the provided USB-C cable to recharge an extra set of Joycons. It does not come with a wall charger, but you can plug it into the USB port on the Switch. This really should have been packed in with the Switch instead of the chargerless grip that came with it.

Good quality grip that allows you to charge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good quality grip that allows you to charge two joycons at once. The grip that comes with the switch doesn't allow you to charge them in the grip. I got this for an extra set of joycons, so I would have 4 joycons to play multiplayer games (either 2 with 2 joycons in this charge grip and the one grip that comes with the switch, or 4 players with each having a joycon). Well, I and my kids, don't find the individual joycons very useful playing multiplayer. So we have used the joycon grips most of the time, playing 2 player (each with a grip and two joycons). I recently got the pro controller and I wish I would have got it earlier instead of extra joycons and a charging grip. I played over 100 hours of Zelda with this grip and joycons, and I like the pro controller better. This said, this grip is nice if you play a lot on the TV as you don't have to keep taking off the joycons to charge them.

Much better than using the tiny originals alone
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great quality controllers for the Nintendo switch handhelds. We like to play multiplayer Mario Kart and we didn’t like using the tiny controllers. My husband and I are old school and like a controller that fills your hand. Smallest I can use is the Super Nintendo controller. This switch holder did the trick. Very comfortable to hold and provides easier use of multiple buttons.

Q: QuestionDo I need thiz
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, you don't. The Switch comes with two (2) Joy Con controllers that charge when attached to the Switch console, while the console is in the charging dock. The Switch also comes with a non-powered grip you can attach the Joy Cons to - looks just like this one, except it doesn't have power. It just lets you use the two Joy Cons as a single controller. The charging grip just lets you charge the Joy Cons without having them be attached to the Switch console, and you can even have them charging with the cord while you're using them as a single controller. Also handy to charge additional Joy Cons simultaneously (if you have more than two).

Q: QuestionCan you use this without connection? In other words does it have to be plugged in while playing or is that option there only if you need charging?
Asked by WonderingMama.
- A:Answer Only needs to be plugged in to charge. Otherwise its wireless play. So far mine is great!

Q: QuestionHow long is the cord that comes with this? My switch is about 6 feet away from the couch and I don't know if the cord will reach to charge while playing...
Asked by Jocel.
- A:Answer The cord is 5 feet long. Having the same concern, I purchased a USB extension just in case. It doesn’t have to be plugged into the console though. I added a charging block to the end and I plug it into an outlet right next to me while sitting on the couch. Works great!

Q: QuestionSo, if this thing charges the joy cons while playing; how does the charging deck get it's charge?
Asked by MrsBernard.
- A:Answer The dock is plugged in to the AC outlet. This “thing” gets plugged to the dock via a USB-C cable (included in the box). So you can charge while playing and have the switch charge as well. To be honest though, I think the included cable is a bit short to play on tv while it’s recharging. It looks like it’s about 3ft long if not shorter. I would plan on using a usb extenders to do that!
