What will you and I do?
Posted .The DSi was a steal-like price for everything it does, it has a Camera, Sound, Web Browser, And DSi Shop. In my opinion they should have made a Virtual console of Old GameBoy Games. The Web Browser is suprisingly fast. The games have a deeper color tone which doesn't stick to point much but matters, The SD card is very handy AND DOES NOT REQUIRE THE DSi TYPE TO WORK!!!! I FOUND CHEAPER ONES WORK BETTER! I have had for a while and it does well on responce time.

DSi
Posted .You can love it or hate it but you'll probably end up buying it to feed your curiosity. I just sold my DS Lite which was 1 1/2 years old for 100 bucks the day before the DSi release. We'll see if Nintendos still got it. I preordered my DSi just in case they become hard to find before the Holidays.

Great system, good battery life
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendSince i have had this system for (soon to be ) two years, i will write a full, in -depth review. Camera: At a low .3 megapixles, the camera is not the best, delivering somewhat fuzzy photos, there for do not buy this for use as a digital camera. You can choose a variety of tools to edit photos, like mirror imaging or distorting the photo, or even putting little speech bubbles to write in. There are also several different "channels" that you can use your picture on (my sims camera, warioware, face pilot). Final rating: 4 of 5 Browser: The browser is a semi-fast web browser that can surf the web but cannot support flash. It is better top use a laptop or another internet source. Final rating: 3 of 5 Dsiware shop: In this shop, you can use dsi-points to buy games or "channels". The games are fairly cheap, the most expensive being $10, the cheapest $2. The $2 games are highly lacking content so they are mostly worthless. These games are OKAY but do not buy the system and no games relying on these, or you will not enjoy the system after a few days. Final rating: 3 of 5 Music Player: In the music player, you can download song from your computer to an sd card (sold seperatly) and put into the system. You can buy the sd cards at best buy, so it's easy to obtain. The package i got came with a 4 gb sd card, the system, the starter pack, and a game. With an sd card you can add extra pictures (480 system memory limit) to the sd card. Back on topic, the music player is sometimes not able to play certain tracks. With the player, you can also edit a song's pitch and speed. You can also record sounds and your voice, and play with them. Final rating: 4 of 5 System's build: The basic nintendo ds build with an added camera on the inside and out side. The ds seems very sturdy and the system never cracked. However, after not playing for a month or two, i found that the shoulder buttons ( left and right buttons at the top stopped working. After i did research, i found that this is a common problem, which happens when dust settles under the buttons after months of not playing, so it was really mother nature and my fault for this. The solution is to blow into the small hole under the button. After that, my dsi was fixed, and i went back to playing! Final rating: 5 of 5 Overall System rating: 4 of 5

*Please read because this should be very helpful*
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendListen up. If you are a Nintendo fan, I'm sure you've been wanting this product for a very long time, and, well, it's a very good product, but a few flaws will have you switching back and forth between your DSi and your DS Lite. First of all, there's is no GBA slot! Now, Nintendo took away this benefit for two reasons. They did it for money, and to take away the annoyance of having a big game sticking out of your DS like a tree in Antarctica. The reason they did this for money is because, now, instead of playing all of your old GBA games you've had through the years, you have to re-buy those games at the DSi shop which is built into the DSi. Besides not having a GBA slot, the only other stick in the mud is the battery life. Because the bottom screen has increase by half an inch on each side, more battery is consumed. That means if you want your battery life to last presumably long, then you better set your screen brightness to the lowest possible. But, lets talk about the good things. Now, the DS Lite had one major flaw I would like to note. The right hinge of the top screen was 10x weaker than the left hinge. The DSi did a great job of reinforcing that right hinge and keeping it sturdy. Another great thing is the internal memory. The DSi has its own internal memory for DSi shop games, your favorite songs, and your best pictures. Then when you run out of internal memory, which contains an OK amount of memory, you use an SD card. Plus, they still made the DSi games have their own internal memory just like every other Nintendo product besides the Wii. I'm sure you also know that it has two cameras. One on the inside and one on the outside. The quality of the camera is horrible, but hey it looks good on the DSi and having the cameras will allow buyers to play very fun games like Wario Ware, on the DSi! But you can see how fun that will be on your own. Overall the DSi is a great product, but is just an expansion and was only meant to be an expansion. It has better sound quality, two cameras, and SD slot, a reinforced right hinge, the DSi shop, a bigger bottom screen (but shorter battery life), and it was made by Nintendo so it's gotta' be great anyway. Thank you for reading this review and please say this review was helpful. Bye!

Enjoy it for what it is, a great Handheld.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOk I've owned the Nintendo DSi for over a week and i have to say its great for what it is, a Handheld. This is the first DS I have ever owned but i have used all three (DS, DS-Lite, DSi) so i have the right to compare and judge based on my own opinons. First thing, the Camera, what a great addition to the DS! we all know it doesnt take great pictures but thats not really what its for. The camera add-on is just for fun! F-U-N! the camera features dont get boring but you also wont be using it everyday either. Ive used it with my family, my friends, and my co-workers at work, and we've all gotten a kick out of it. Second, the DSi Shop, another great feature! You can now purchace and download games at the cost of points. You can purchace a point card at your local BEST BUY or make an online agreement on the DSi Shop and give your credit information, which ever works for you. And with the rumor going around that certain GBA games will be available on the DSi Shop, the lost of the GBA Slot on the DSi is not really much of a lost at all. The added SD Slot is also great for when downloading games and possible DLC, this makes memory no longer an issue (SD Card does NOT come with the DSi). Another thing i want to write about is the Battery Life. After reading other reviews it seems everyone is soooooo dissapointed about it having a short battery life. 13+ hours (on lowest brightness) on a full charge is NOT a short battery life! Honestly ask yourself, "Am i going to be using my DSi 13+ Hours straight?!" most likely your not. And if you say you are, youre lying or you need to do more activities throughtout your day. And if you say you NEED the brightness on the maximum setting then you need to go to an eye doctor because the lowest setting is bright enough. Here's my example on how the battery life isnt an issue, i'm on my third day WITHOUT charging and i still have about 70% of battery life available! Yeah true story. The audio is a big improvement compared to previous DS's. Its quite loud on the max volume, so that great. With many great improvements to the Nintendo DS, its possible the DSi will have a new add on thats not so great. The Web Brower lies in the not so great catorgory. Its good but you wont really be replacing your current portable web browser mobile device, like your Laptop or Blackberry. You may use it from time to time but its something you wont really rely on. The last issue i'd like to mention is the price. Its $40 more expensive than the DS-Lite. Having to pay more money is never a good thing, but with all the new features, you wont really be regretting it in the long run. So yeah thats my review on the new DS Handheld, The Nintendo DSi. I hope i've helped you on your choice on wether to invest in one or not.

Great Product
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBoth my husband and my 12 year old son have one. They love it. My husband uses it primarily for games. My son uses all the functions on it and he loves to mess with the picture function and play music and games. Great product if you are going to use all the extra stuff, but if you are just using it to play games, save some money and purchase the regular DS or DSLite.

Great Product!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWe purchased this for our 8 year old and it replaced a DS that had broken in the past (top screen went out). I thought it would really just be a DS with a camera, but it is much more. It has bigger screens than before, WiFi and the SD card slot allows it to play iTunes m4a files. It does not require them to be converted to an MP3 format. You can just copy your iTunes files right on the card and it will play. My son likes the on-line flipnotes as well. He has played with those features (and the camera) as much or more than the games themselves. Great improvement over the old DS!
