Good for What It Does
Posted .I found the Wii Fit Plus quite simple to set up and start using. I've enjoyed Wii Games for a couple of years and had tried out the Wii Fit at a friend's house. When I decided that maybe playing on WuHu Island (the fictional island where a lot of the sport happen) would be nice over a gray, cold winter, I decided it was worth giving the Wii Fit Plus a go. I've owned it for a month and I average about 70 minutes a day on it. I use it more for a mild workout than I do the games, but I like them as well. The best feature in the Wii Fit Plus is the My Wii Fit Plus, which allows you to choose what you want to work on physically, choose how many exercises in that category you want to do and just let the workout flow from game to exercise to game. While I DON'T like the emphasis on "toning" (there's no such thing. Either you're putting on muscle or you're not), I enjoy the variety in the strength and yoga exercises. As a former martial artist, I also enjoy the emphasis on balance, though I wish there were a better way to check for form over the entire body and not just through the feet. But the main takeaway for me is that I will use this an hour a day and find it an interesting and engaging workout. While it's not a great workout for someone who is already an athlete, if you have a swivel chair profession, this will be a definite help.

My baby boomer mom loves it.
Posted .I bought this for my mother for her 65th birthday, and she's had it now for two months. When she first got it, she wasn't sure about it. As the time has passed however, she has increasingly told me about the progress she's made on the various activities, and this morning called to tell me that her Wii Fit "age" was the same as mine. My mother is computer savvy, but often doesn't have the patience to try new things if they are hard right out of the box. She was able to take it out of the box and get going with it right away, and that got her hooked. She appreciates the interaction of the game in responding to her abilities, and my dad says that she's working out on it every morning. He's even trying it out because she seems to like it so much. They don't live near a gym, and wouldn't go anyway, and my parents are not out of shape really, just aging. My mom commented the other day that she found she can now get up and down the basement stairs of the house without even getting "a little bit winded." That makes it a winner in my book.

Great way to get moving
Posted .I love my Wii Fit Plus. I use it probably every day to every other day and it's perfect for me. Before you buy you should know understand that this game doesn't really work for people who want/need to do a lot of cardio, or to lose a lot of weight. I'm actually "skinny fat," i.e. I'm underweight but kinda flabby and weak with bad posture. Since I work long hours and don't need to lose weight, I have no real motivation to throw away my limited free time at a stinky gym. Wii Fit Plus is a good compromise. I got this to strengthen and tone my muscles, do yoga and just get the blood pumping a bit. Since the workouts are short and fun, I have been able to stick with it. The strength training and yoga are less fun but they work pretty well. My husband uses it too, but for him to get results he has to combine with another workout game with cardio. I LOVE the snowball game!!

I use it every day!
Posted .I bought this to add something new to my workouts, something that was low-insensity due to a recent injury, and I can't get enough! I've logged 10 hours in 3 weeks. I use it morning before work. I love how it tracks my time, I can set goals, and it keeps me motivated to try and beat my high score. It may seem to start out slow, but as you start unlock new excerises and add more reps/time, it can be a great workout. I feel guilty if I don't get my 30 minutes in every day. And although you need some space for movement, it works well in our small living room. I can't wait to get back on it!

Love it! Love it! Love it!
Posted .I really love this WII fit Plus. It has so many activities. I especially like the balance and aerobic games. I have faithfully played for about an hour a day for three weeks and have lost 5 pounds without changing anything else in my routine. It's easy to be committed to this type of exercise because it is so much fun! I have spent money in the past on exercise equipment that is now just gathering dust because it was just too boring to stick with for any length of time. Not my WII Fit Plus. It is getting a workout (no pun intended) and is worth every penny.

Outstanding fun for everyone in the family
Posted .So glad my in-laws turned me on to Wii Fit. Had heard people talk about how much fun it is but never took it seriously. Days after trying theirs I was in Best Buy buying mine. Myself, my wife, my five year old son and my ten year old niece have not stopped since. Loads of games that are challenging, fun, clever, inventive and yes, some of them give you a pretty good workout. You do not have to be a gamer to love it. The customizable Wii people make the experience even more fun. If you don't got it, go get it. So worth the $99.
