A Nintendo game system for all generationsPosted .
This is going to be the one to get! Nintendo has dropped the price from $350 to $300 and added a digital copy of Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD to sweeten the deal. The game pad will even have a unique Zelda themed finish and these Zelda branded systems (DS, 3DS) have sold very well in the past. The system doesn't have the strongest 3rd party support due to the lower number of systems sold up to this point (typical for most new hardware# and a lot of developers may choose to develop future titles on newer systems, but the Wii U is easily on par with, if not better than, the current generation which still makes it a formidable piece of technology and when combined with Nintendo's classic franchises, the results should be nothing short of amazing! The coming months will see updated releases for the Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda #a new Wii U title), Super Smash Bros and Donkey Kong Country franchises and these games alone are well worth the purchase of the system, not to mention the entire Wii game library and all of the classic games available through the Nintendo e-Shop. If you've been waiting for an incentive to get the Wii U, your patience couldn't have been rewarded any better than getting the system for $50 less and getting a free digital copy of a classic remake of one of Nintendo's best games. Grab one of these systems now before they are gone and in the hands of collectors.I would recommend this to a friend

Ultimate Wii U bundle for any Zelda fan!Posted .
The Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is the perfect bundle for any Zelda fan. Besides boasting a Wii U gamepad decorated with beautiful Hylian glyphs, the bundle also includes digital copies of Hyrule Historia and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. Hyrule Historia is an interesting read for fans of the franchise and the updated graphics of The Wind Waker HD are gorgeous making the game well worth a second playthrough for fans of the original release. I was amazed at how improved the game feels with updated visuals! These additions add considerable value to the bundle which was already priced around most standalone Wii U consoles. It's a little disappointing to not get a physical copy of the game but, for the price, this bundle really can't be beat. The Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is a great value that gives Zelda fans a great reason to buy a Wii U.I would recommend this to a friend

Great bundle value with a great gamePosted .
I'm really happy with the console and I think Nintendo gets more flak than they deserve. Using the gamepad touchscreen for inventory management is a godsend in my opinion, but in Wind Waker you can also actually pause the game to manage your inventory without having to worry about being attacked, etc. if you want. Wind Waker HD is a really beautiful game and it looks great. Definitely a good upgrade from the original. Wind Waker HD has a unique feature where you can leave messages in bottles for other players, they show up randomly in other people's games. You can switch this feature off if you don't want it. Fortunately it's managed so you don't have a ton of bottles flooding your world, they just pop up occasionally in the ocean or on a beach. You can type a message with the onscreen keyboard with the touchscreen or even use the stylus to scribble doodles and draw pictures. People can "Like" your message (referred to as "Yeah!" but basically the same thing) and reply with a message of their own if they want. It's entertaining, though after a while I started ignoring that aspect and just focused on playing through the game. Overall the touchscreen is pretty responsive, though when you're navigating the eShop it can occasionally take a second or two to respond to your touches. Otherwise it's pretty responsive. The virtual console is pretty barren right now compared to the Wii's so it will be a while before it has a wide selection. You can play and purchase Wii virtual console games in Wii mode (and also play your old Wii games too), but if you want to take advantage of the remote play feature on the gamepad screen, it has to be the Wii U version. If the game is available on the Wii U eShop, you can upgrade it to work with the Wii U, but they charge you a fee. I had to pay $1.99 for each one I owned, though I only had a couple so it wasn't that big of a deal. Would have been nice if they let you do it for free though since you already purchased them once. They keep adding games to the Wii U shop fairly often, so it will eventually have a good selection. The remote play on your gamepad is pretty cool, so in a way you have a handheld gaming system and full game console in one. I think there are a few that don't work with remote play if I recall, but most should work with it. The range is fairly decent, though you will run into limits. I could almost use it in my bedroom while the Wii U was in the living room, but it was just out of range. Though you could move the Wii U if you needed it closer, you don't need it hooked up to a TV for the remote play (obviously) You can transfer your Wii game saves and virtual console games to your Wii U via a SD memory card and downloading the transfer app (it's free) on the Wii U and your Wii. While it's transferring the data, you'll watch Pikmin carry files through a computer chip looking world to a rocket ship. When it's done saving to the memory card the rocket ship takes off. When you insert it into your Wii U, you watch the Pikmin unload the files from the ship and deliver them to your Wii U. It's pretty amusing and a nice touch for something as mundane as data transfers.I would recommend this to a friend

Amazing Bundle from NintendoPosted .
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Set is an amazing purchase. It is great for someone who hasn't purchased a Wii U, but hesitated due to the price. Also, for someone who wasn't really interested in Nintendo Land, and wanted a more substantial game experience. The fact that it comes with The Wind Waker HD, is good. It attracts the people who loved The Wind Waker on the Gamecube, who want to experience it in a higher quality. And to the people who are new to the game, and want to play through it. It is great for collectors that want the limited edition Zelda Gamepad, with the gold features, throughout the front of the gamepad. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Set is great for people new to the Zelda series or people that are fans of it, that want to purchase the Wii U, but didn't yet due to the price.I would recommend this to a friend

Great ConsolePosted .
Upon hearing that Wind Waker would be released in HD for the Wii U, I knew immediately that I would be purchasing a Wii U at some point, and with Nintendo releasing it as a Wii U Bundle, what better time to get it than now? Well, they really sucked me in on this one! The system itself is very sleek. With this bundle you are getting the 32GB Wii U hard drive coming in the color black. One of the main features of this system is of course, the gamepad, which with this bundle, comes with a Legend of Zelda themed controller with gold engravings. The controller looks very nice! I like that the controller is obviously Zelda themed, but the design isn't too over bearing or annoying. Usually I don't like designs like this on my controllers or systems, but in this instance I'm really enjoying it since the design is nice and it's Zelda themed. After unboxing the system and turning it on, you have to go through a system update which will take about an hour to complete. It was a bit disheartening since I was so excited to get started on the game, but the update is necessary and in the mean time you can maybe run a few errands or find something else to occupy your time while it updates. So after your system is updated, you will need to go to the Wii U shop to download your digital copies of Wind Waker and the Hyrule Historia. Luckily, these downloads don't take nearly as long as the system update, and you should be able to get started playing the game in only a matter of minutes! The game itself is stunning! It's one of my favorites in the series, and I must say that the HD remake is definitely worth seeing. They made a few changes to the game, but for the most part, the HD remake remains true to the original game. I feel like the changes they made to the HD remake only tend to enhance the gameplay. Some changes in the game include the Swift Sail which will allow you to sail twice as fast as the original sail, AND you won't have to change wind directions! This will save you a lot of time and frustration from having to constantly change the direction of the wind to explore the ocean. One major change I noticed was that when you begin searching for the triforce pieces, you only have to locate 3 triforce charts instead of all of them. This again will save you a lot of time, and prevents the game from becoming so redundant. There is also an item called Tingle Bottles which allows you to share images and messages with other players. This really helps you out if you're trying to collect all of the figurines in the game. This remake is sure to please the fans, and to attract a lot of newcomers to the franchise. Kudos to Nintendo! Aside from the Wind Waker game, the system itself has a lot to offer. One of my favorite new features is the Miiverse. It's sort of like a a forum for Nintendo games and products where users can share messages and pictures of their favorite games. The system also comes pre-installed with Youtube, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, and Netflix to cover all of your video viewing needs. One flaw I've found with the system is whenever I watch Youtube videos, the loading times are very slow and it tends to stop a lot. I'd love to watch Youtube videos through my console, but unfortunately I've found it's much easier for me to just go to my laptop and view them. The same thing goes for the internet browser. Although it's a cool feature, I've found these tasks to just be easier to complete on my own laptop. The Hyrule Historia download that comes with this console is also very neat! Although I'd rather read a physical copy of the book, the book does look very nice on the controller, and it's easy to navigate and flip through pages of the book with the controller. I also just completed a system transfer from my Wii to Wii U, and the process was very simple. I now have all of my save data and virtual console games from my Wii to my Wii U! You can find information on how to do this through a google search. So overall, I am very pleased with my new Wii U! I did find my Wii collecting dust, so I'm hoping to find more use with my Wii U. There have been a lot of solid releases for the 3DS, so I'm hoping the same will happen soon with the Wii U. So far there's a new 3D Super Mario, and Smash Bros game so it looks like these expectations may be met. I also wouldn't doubt that Nintendo will be announcing a new Zelda game soon. If you're a fan of Wind Waker and are interested in a Wii U, then you don't want to pass up this bundle. This bundle is great for old fans, and newcomers alike. Happy gaming!I would recommend this to a friend

Wii U is the must own gaming consolePosted .
I was only slightly hyped about the Wii U when I bought it and my excitement only keeps growing! It has a pretty nice library of games now a year after launch and the line-up for next year only gets better. The quality of 1st party Nintendo games is second to none. Miiverse is the nicest, most muture online gaming community out there. The controller is purely amazing. You can play off tv with most games and when you are playing it on tv its a second screen that clears up your HUB on screen. It's lovely. Netflix app and Nintendo TVii are gems for the multimedia gurus out there. You don't know what you are missing out on until you actually play one!I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent bundle for Wii UPosted .
We bought a Wii U at launch, and we have absolutely loved it. I was in the market for a 2nd Wii U for the kids for Christmas, and also for Wind Waker HD. So I killed two birds with one stone and got the bundle. It was only sweetened by the price drop. I think it's a shame that the Wii U hasn't caught on with the general public more than it has. It is a great system. The new GamePad is a lot more comfortable than it looks, and when games use it right, it adds an amazing experience that you can't get anywhere else. It's something that really needs to be experienced to be appreciated. About Wind Waker HD, they did a great job remaking a classic Zelda game into an HD experience with new features. This is another example of a game that makes great use of the GamePad's features. I have never played Wind Waker, so this is like a brand new Zelda game to me. I can say that this game is every bit as fun as any of the other Zelda games I have played, and it's great to finally experience a Zelda game in HD. And just to clarify some people's misunderstanding, the Wii U is not just the GamePad. It is a completely new generation gaming console that is much more powerful than the Wii was. It's an amazing system, and an amazing game, and I would definitely recommend this bundle to anyone.I would recommend this to a friend

Nintendo does it again!Posted .
While Nintendo's newest system seems to keep being overlooked by gamers, it really deserves its fair shake. With the PS4 and Xbone being so similar to one another, the Wii U does its own thing and does it well. The HD looks stunning, the controller is comfortable to hold, and the off TV play looks so much better than the PS4 to Vitas. My only problem was when I went to transfer my Wii saves, I encountered an error that Nintendo is aware of but currently doesn't have an easy fix for.I would recommend this to a friend
