Holds up well. Very timely.
|Posted .Enjoyed this much film more now than I did when it was initially released. Great story and very timely given recent events. Everyone should see this and learn from it.

Solid Movie
Posted .Im a history buff so this may appeal to me more than others. Nixon is a polarizing figure in Amaerican History. He was flawed but there was also greatness inside of him. This film tries to show both sides and tries to humanize him. ion wasn't a monster, he was a guy the was corrupted by power. Think of Anakin Skywalker, a good person who did bad things. In Nixon's case, he paid the ultimate price by resigning the office he had worked so hard to get. You would be hard pressed to find someone who was a 2 term vice president that lost a presidential election and then a gubernatorial election and then become President? Almost unheard of. Although stone take some liberties, this is a decent film which shows Nixon's upbringing to his downfall.

Like a Shakespearean tragedy
|Posted .Anthony Hopkins might not look like Nixon but the bold storytelling allows him to play a part and not mimic the president. Great John Williams score as well.

NOT ANAMORPHIC
Posted .Great movie, but even though the Best Buy page says enhanced for 16:9 Telvisions, it is not. It has been on sale recently also, which means the studio is probably gearing up for big special edition ANAMORPHIC re-release... It would be smart to wait on this one.
