STP had had their share of troubles nearing the late 90's. Most notably Scott Weiland's substance abuse problems. When it seemed very unlikely that they would ever put out another album after "Tiny Music.." out of nowhere came news in 1999 that they had recorded a new album. "No. 4" is fast and furious, but shines in its quieter moments. bother "Sour Girl" and "Atlanta" are Weiland's most impressive vocal turns in anything he ever did. A must own on vinyl for any STP fan.
