I've had this cable for more than a month or two now and it's done very well considering its a charging cable. There isn't much you can do with it more than its intended use obviously, but the materials its made from make this product feel like its worth the money. You don't feel like if you bend it too much it'll start to wear or become "difficult" to use near the usb-c end, you know what i'm talking about. The length of the cable is at a comfortable length, not too long to where you have excess cable weighing the cord down or causing a tripping hazard. Its also not too short to where you have to feel like you're reaching for your phone or have to keep it on the floor because your cord isn't long enough to keep it on a table. I hadn't heard of Nomad until I went shopping at my local Best Buy for a new charging cable because the apple one was becoming cumbersome for me to use while in bed. I'm glad I made this purchase.

After wasting money on extra Lightning cords for home and car to watch them slowly come undone or break, I decided to find a cord that would last and last. And I did! I looked online, in phone stores and via Apple, then I decided to see what Best But could do since it's near my house. I was looking for 2 items and found them both. This was the important item for me. I work in Aerospace and I like products built to last. This one hits the mark. It's tough and thick. It may not please everyone because it isn't thin and fragile. It will last longer than your phone and is probably good enough to use as an emergency leash for your pit bull. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Good alternative to oem apple cord that comes with iPhone... But for $30 the outer woven material has already started to fray out in strands a little bit, seems like it happened when rubbing against something sharp enough to to cut the rather hard plastic strands, so I don't doubt that it's probably my fault, but like I said when buing the "toughest iPhone cord ever" I maybe expected a little more ruggedness... That being said the cord still performs flawlessly, and unlike many cheapo 3rd party lightning cords, the top that goes into the phone seems to be of much better quality than any other than apples, which is extremely important.

The cord is long and sturdy. It gets the job done. May even charge a bit faster than the Apple chord (or maybe I am prideful of my things). Anyways, I’ve owned it for a month or so. This morning when I unplugged my phone everything was working fine. When I went to plug my phone in tonight, the “lightning” end snapped right off and got stuck in my phone. No extra force was applied at all. Now I hope the warranty will replace it. We’ll find out in the morning.

Hey Matt, thanks for leaving your review! We're sorry to hear about what happened with your Nomad cable. If you haven't already, please email our Support team (support@hellonomad.com) and we will help you get set up with a replacement right away! The reason for the break in your lightning tip is actually something that Apple makes us do. Basically they would rather our cables break then the phones be damaged if there is too much tension on the cable. They want the cable to come out of the phone so we have to put in a breaking point into the lighting connection, (so does every other MFI approved phone cable). We hope that you will be in touch with our Customer Support team soon, if you have not already. -Nomad nomadgoods

Picked this up last week to keep in the office rather than bring my cable from home. I've been using it almost daily since then and it seems to work pretty well. I like the length vs. the 3' cable my phone came with wince that didn't really make it up onto my desk from the plugs on the floor. It also looks different from everyone else in the office so there are no worries about one of my coworkers swooping it. Will report back in a few months after I've traveled with it.

This charger is absolute garbage; don't buy it. I have never written a review about anything before, ever. I am very frustrated because it broke 37 days after purchase, outside of my 30 day window. I expected more from a braided charger. This charger sat in my car and I occasionally used it, but always kept it attached to the same plug. The cord I replaced with this one lasted me probably 2 years ( different manufacturer). If you buy, make sure to get the extended warranty.

I go through chargers like crazy with my girlfriend using them (I know there’s more men out there like me!), especially in my car. The cable is very heavily built so it withstands being shut in the the car door or being wound up in the seat. It’s the perfect length to reach everyone who needs it. Definitely one of the best cables I’ve bought. Plus the 5 year warranty (most have just 1 year if any at all)

This charging cable caught my eye because of its aesthetics, however the nylon braid makes a very durable cable. For example the outlet next to my bed makes it such that the cable has to go at an uncomfortable angle. In most cases this would cause any factory charging cable to tear the casing and then the wiring inside. I've had it for quite a while now and haven't had any issues with tearing. Also the length of the cable is quite substantial which I'm happy with.
