Although I am almost 50 I still enjoy cold treats. I decided to give this a try. My mom, husband, and I have been having a lot of fun with it. It can toss bits of fine ice over to either side but there's always a bit of a mess when in the kitchen:) We been using it for months now and I've not had a single issue with it. It seems to work much better when the hopper is full of ice than when it just has a couple of pieces. And it is plastic so don't go using it as though it's indestructible - - it's an inexpensive snow cone machine people not a high-end run all night until the booze runs out ice grinder!!

it's fast but the shavings come out a little on the chunky side. my old one did better at getting fluffy results, but it also took a lot longer.

I love that is very practicle, it is not bulky or heavy .works very well, it cuts the ice so perfectly and love it. The cleaning is easy and its a very fun for the summer. It very easy to use, just out of the box and you can used it.
