Picked this because the motor was rated at 100W. It turned out to be only 50 Watts. It does the job, but is lightweight and seems a bit flimsy. The stirring paddle doesn't detach, so can only be cleaned with water in the mixing cup and manual wipe-down. The stir paddle is perfectly smooth, and I didn't think it would work well, but it actually does, once you get the cup in place without bending or breaking the latch or the motor unit connection. With ice cream milkshakes it tends to devleop little pockets of ice. I don't understand that. Overall, it does an OK job, and is cute, but unimpressive. It isn't bad enough to return, and I've only used it a couple of months, so I'm waiting to see if it lasts longer that I think it may. I'm recommending "yes", along with these qualifying remarks, it's not a real strong yes. If I could find a real old-fashioned soda fountain machine, I'd have paid more and probably been more satisfied.

The maker is very light and feels cheap. It doesn't seem like its built to last. a part broke off and I wasn't able to use it.
