Right up front, the ONLY thing I do not like about the Nostalgia brand hot air popcorn maker is the color! I sincerely doubt that many people have appliances in 1950's red.
That now totally aside, the mechanics of the machine are really excellent! It does take close to the suggested two minutes to heat to the proper temperature, but by then, you'd BETTER have your popped corn container ready and in position, because it pops the measured amount of corn really FAST!!! No kidding there!!
We are major popped corn consumers here, and I always premeasure three containers of corn, with the built in measure holding the last of the batches. That way when the corn's popped, just open the hatch and pour in batch two or three as desired.
I prefer paper grocery store bags to catch the full load of corn and to make it easier to add "butter" either the real McCoy or "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" in a spray bottle. Zero calories they say! Lots of very good taste, even moreso if you add a couple of tablespoons of butter to the mix! Three measures of popcorn makes a LOT of popped corn!
The on / off switch on the side is another significant advantage to this popper and MUCH easier than fussing with the plug as most other models seem to have.
That's about it, Great popper great price!!!!
